Just one correction it could not have been 9.70 if he did not look at Lyles at the end,,,9.80 maybe...9.70 is in in Godlike territory if you understand anything about sprinting. Only Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Tyson Gaye have ran that fast....Oblique is fast, a solid 9.85 runner and that should assure him an Olympic medal, But to win at Olympics would have to be a 9.80 or faster.
Great start by Seville, he was ready, credit to him. But he didn’t destroy Noah by any means. Noah had an uneven start and fell behind, pushed a little in the last twenty meters, but still closed well. Getting to the finals at the Olympics will be a much tougher task than the Racers Grand Prix. So, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Seville looked great. But in the Olympics he might have to run 9.82 just to get into the finals, and then run even faster in the finals. There is a long way to go.
You are right, because he seems to do well with slightly lesser runners, and believe he has done a good job, but as been proven to be not that great when he has someone who can run as well and even faster than him .

My only comment is to agree with your advise, the athlete needs to stop looking and his competition, and allow himself the maximum chance of lowering his time, And to also remember he is now the number one, staying this way means to improve each time he train's. Thanks to Mr. Mill's you have proven that you are the true star Maker with this athlete.

Really! 5 more meters that Seville slowed down, you mean? It's a hundred meter race not 105M. Also, Oblique time is faster than Lyles ever run over the distance. Bolt ain't racing. And you obviously are not a runner if you don't understand what he met by "not being set...and the gun letting off too soon" I won my highschool championship and went to state because the gun men fired to soon and I and one other racer were ready. The ESPN kid want ready and he lost to me by a tenth of a second. Rob Gilmore was definitely faster than me by at least a second. My advantage was that I was already sitting in the blocks by the time they called set. It's the same thing here. Seville doesn't have top speed so he is relying on a quick gun. He won't get that in the Olympics. Only in his home town.
Oblique is a good contender in high stage. However, its too early to determine the fittest athlete at this early phase of the season. The 100m duel is a high perofmrnace sport and just a small delay or miscalculation could deter your focus and the rest of the race, lets first see how he performs in the next like 3 next races against the titans like coleman, lyles again, tebogo. if he can quiet lyles atleast two or three times, it would be reasonable to say he is a gold medalist contender. but as for now, keep your eye on the tracks. its too early to issue a verdict
Seville got an extremely good start. When Noah improves his start in the finals there’s no way Seville or any other sprinter in the world can beat him. The Olympic finals is the only race that matters

JET not sure he would have beaten Oblique as you are suggesting, given that he slowed down about 7 meters from the line. Seville is faster than Lyles, and we should gracefully accept that he had beaten him.
