Floor dropped another cover, this time to M83's Oblivion. Something about this performance really had me seeing Floor in a different light, outside of what she does regularly but in a more professional way. I really would love seeing her do more collabs with other artists in other Genres's. The world needs to see more of her. The things l love about doing a rection vid!!!

Without these covers and the Beste Zangers, we probably never would have known what an incredibly versatile vocalist she is. Her dynamic range is simply amazing. She was born to be the Nightwish front woman but in reality she's so much more than that. Not so much vocal gymnastics in this one - just a truly majestic performance. Just Floor doing Floor things. She deserves all the recognition she can get.

100% agree, no every performance needs all of the gymastics, sometimes just a simple great performance is all we need. But this really had me thinking about her doing more than just Nightwish professionally. I think she would do an amazing Bond song. ✌✌

@@nicod1361 Yes, I said that ironically. Of course Eminem is great lyrically ad in his craft but he's not real musician. And colaboration with him or any rapper, DJ etc. would'nt be something creative, just pop.

Floor has already made 6 covers. I think / hope that she will finally gather them all in an album (I'm still waiting for a few more ...) As I said before, I'm glad that I'm contemporary with an artist of such magnitude. Thanks :)

a full album would be pretty cool, but someting about this performance really had me thinking about her working with alot of other genres and artists. I think that would be amazing for us as fans and the rest of the world that hasn't been introduced to her yet.

@SteveNL six Songs are not enough for an Album, thats a runtime around 25 minutes, for a full Album it should be near 60 minutes. But maybe there are coming some more Songs.

It's absurd, no matter what she does or sings, it's amazing, everything turns to gold! I'm impressed with Floor's relentless ability to impress with every song. I almost feel sorry for the other singers when Floor does a cover version!

I love how she puts her whole body into the song. I really like her eyes at the end of the song. It's her empathic feelings. She loves to sing and music.

Floor is great I love how she holds her notes out for eight to ten beats and then puts the vibrato in. And the background music is what gives me goosebumps on this song, especially the French Horns they are phenomenal!!

I loved this song when it came out and so thrilled for this cover to remind me again of its beauty. She has to be considered one of the most famous singers now in the world, I get what you said. The only good thing of pandemic is seeing her reaction to the fans with covers and interviews. She is such a role model for musicians. Floor now will have a big career separate from Nightwish although her metal chops are still the best but she might be thinking now as you said of becoming a famous solo artist. She will probably do both because Nightwish will always give her best recognition. Once you follow her, you can't stop. It is infectious. I really believe she is starting to peak even more than her younger years.

yeah, thx for getting that, as I was saying it I thought to myself, I hope people aren't going to think i was actually thankful for the Pandemic. Just thankful to see all of these different styles of Music from Floor, that I don't think we would have seen otherwise.

You might not have the words to say it (and I can't blame you for that!) but I totally agree with you on this one. To me, this is her best cover so far; there is everything: the filming is good, the music is awesome and her voice stunning as always. Goosebumps right form the first note reminded me how much she can have an impact, an influence on me. When I see her singing, I don't know how to properly put it (see, even I can't find my words ^^') but I feel like the time just stoped. Anyway, another great reaction. Thanks a lot for your videos and passion! P.S: I'm French so my English might be... Well not "English" at all ^^' and sorry for that!

Their practice studio is in a barn of sorts. I've seen shots of Hannes doing a vid for Yamaha and beside the entrance is bales of hay and straw for the horses. I knew it was an outbuilding from their house, from the Beste Zangers off-shoots and other things she's mentioned, but the drumming video (Hannes gives some lessons to a kid) showed that yes, it is a barn of sorts and showed it from different angles than we get to see in Floor's vids.

Hey Greg, while Floor definitley did an amazing job on all of her performances on Beste Zangers I never really thought of Floor doing anything other than what she was currently doing as her "main job" if you get what I mean. But after hearing this performance and the production behind it, it really flipped the switch in my brain to really see that it's not that she can just occasionally perform in these other Genere's or ways but could do them full time as her primary gig if she wanted it. I hope that made sense, I never promised that the thoughts in my head ever make sense 🤣

Eminem would be a step down for her. She deserves someone high calibre. I don't want to hear rapping get in the way of her voice. It would dilute the magic. She's done some very good collaborations already.

That's an interesting take, he is the highest selling rapper in history and just recently had 2 songs hit a billion streams on spotify, but I guess thats a step down in some way. Additionally he has a history of doing collabs that allow the artist to really shine instead of just being backing music. Now I respect your opinion but I am curious as to what rapper would be a "high caliber" rapper that would be a good matchup for Floor. As I said I respect your opinion but have to respectfully disagree. ✌️✌️

Well I wouldn't mind if Aly & Fila called her for the collab, they are the at the top of Trance music as producers and have some fantastic vocal tracks, but since she is Dutch Armin Van Buuren is probably the most logical collab, although he went too main stream for my taste and away from Trance :)

Actually, I think an interesting collaboration would be Floor and Garth Brooks...even on something like making “Shameless” or “The Red Strokes” a duet...both have superstar vocals and they could really play off of each other.

I think she's slowly building up her solo career. She tests how she is received by the audience on her own. She also works on her own songs, if I understood correctly in an interview. I think after Marko and the next Nightwish tour she's the next one to go. Best Zangers and her subsequent little solo tour was just the beginning.

Obviously you haven't got a clue about the consistency and content of her character aswell as for her undieing loyalty. This actual question about her leaving Nightwish for a Solo career was put to her and she responded that they (Nightwish) could never get rid of her. So she will not go unless Nightwish goes bust. Alsoo from the side of Tuomas Holopainen: He said that Floor would be the last singer and that without Floor Nightwish will cease to be. And actually Floor allready has a Solo career at this point while being in Nightwish.

Everything is possible today. I hope she never goes. But it is not impossible. But I would not see this as the end of the world (like others here obviously), because I would continue to follow her.

@@TomTomson81 Yeah Coyote. Marko, the Viking leaving Nightwish, blew my mind. Music is a big part of his life. He adores Floor and is Brothers, they are a family. What does he do to chill out.? I hope it is just a sabbatical and that he rejoins them. Floor and Marko are perfect together, all the voice coaches and opera singers agree on that Note... Ghost River, Devil etc, etc. No doubt there are great singers out there but replacing Marko...? His playing, voice and stage presence and of course, the most impressive of him... His mighty beard.....lol Peace out and be safe bro.

As good as she sounds in her covers , I gotta admit.. I like Susanne Sundfors voice way more in this song and in the electronic genre. Floors version is a bit empty for me.

For personal tastes we have different colors and we have to respect that! I didn't know Susanne until now and I heard a couple of songs from her... She is ok, but all covers I heard of this song is a way better.

@@carlosjj662 dont get me wrong I love floor in every way and shes the best female singer imo. but I know susanne and I love susannes songs more in the original vocals. she delivered the emotions to "me" way better than floor did in her cover. I also seen susanne live couple times, and she has also a huge charismatic and powerful aura. but Im not a fan of floors covers in general. the ones she did on beste zangers were insanely good tho.

Crude and sloppy not to credit Susanne Sundførs fantastic vocals from the original here it wouldnt be that good without her. Fantastic cover by Floor non the less.
