Oblivion is one of the most underrated sci-fi movies, it’s a visual and immersive masterpiece that must be seen on the large screen to give it justice. M83 also did a beautiful job with the soundtrack
Winter Hippo Winter Hippo yes Absolutely there is this unique attachment to this movie it’s difficult for me to describe but it felt like I was actually there or I was the protagonist. The director of the movie also speaks about this, if you notice the camera work and visuals were designed to make you feel part of the movie
Other than Hans Zimmer's arrangements, Oblivion is one of my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE soundtracks! The entire movie was so immersive, you can almost feel like you're part of it.
Obvlivion is a true masterpiece and one day will be given as an example of film making in the text books. Each and every shot is so well composed, and if you look carefully, you will see how the symbolized Tet logo is present in almost all important shots. Joseph Kosinski is a very talented creator; Top Gun (Maverick) 2020 is quite a different movie from his previous efforts and will have many more fast-moving scenes, but I anticipate eagerly the same level of details there I've come to see and love in Tron: Legacy and Oblivion.
@@drkskwlkr There's another movie directed recently by Kosinsky, "Only the Brave". That movie is widely overlooked in terms of awards and box office, and it's a masterpiece nobody talks about.
Yep i agree. I've only seen it once which was when it first came out and even though t's been this long that immersive feeling is still with me today. The music just made it that more powerful. I stayed behind to watch the credits just for the song. Was so beautiful....
"How can a man die better, than facing fearful odds... for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods..." One of my all-time favorite films, and soundtracks - such an amazing surprise to see you cover this! Thank you 💚
Jack Harper: "If we have souls, they’re made of the love we share. Undimmed by time, unbound by death." Outstanding arrangement, never fail to amaze me Patrik!
You have to be kidding me! This is mind blowing. I now feel like dinosaur of a piano player after watching this. The dexterity that you have is epic. I’m subscribing to you Patrik!
I dunno why I everytime I hear something played by you I'm always close to cry for some reason. It's so amazing and relaxing listening to your performances. Thank you so much for sharing your work and (personally speaking) giving inspiration
Hi Patrik, my name is Rafael, I am Brazilian and I really admire your work! I'm really your fan, I follow you for about 2 ~ 3 years! I am a musician, and I am a perfectionist sometimes, so I often see arrangements that are well played, but still I sometimes do not give it 10 because the pianist puts things beyond music! But his work is exceptional, I'm a big fan of Hans Zimmer, really, I'm a big fan of him, when you made the Interstellar arrangement, I cried listening because it's my favorite movie! When I also heard your version of Oogway Ascends, over there in the bass parts, I can't hold it, piano makes me cry *lol*. You can make the arrangement by placing your signature, getting different, but without removing the essence, without removing the signature of the composer! I came here to congratulate you, I always commented a little here, but I like your videos, I always watch, I always share, because your work is not any work, many do not see musician the way we do, just listen, but music is the deepest sound that can reach the past, the present and the future! Congratulations, I really wish you more success on this channel! If you have read this review and read this far, I would like to make a wish. My favorite game is called Chrono Trigger and I would love to see my favorite pianist play a song from my favorite game! The song is called "Corridors of Time", it is a work of art made 24 years ago. If you listen to a headset, you will find that the ringtones are like bells and they ring in the same direction as the clock, 3h, 6h, 9h, 12h, they really did a perfect job even though it was 24 years ago! It's one of the few game trails I like besides Skyrim! I've seen a lot of pianists who did a great job playing her here on RU-vid, but I'm sure you would do an exceptional job too! Thank you Patrik, for the happy moments I have been listening to your arrangements! Sorry for the english, I used Google Translate!
Wathching patriks videos inspired me to try and learn piano, I went out and got a keyboard but I’m so bad 😔 I don’t have time to take classes or anything but i try to practice one or 2 hours a day through RU-vid videos and other things I can find, hoping I can see progression in a couple months
Great performance again, I love the simplicity and the beauty of your arrangements ! I'd suggest Outro, by M83, or No Time For Caution by Hans Zimmer 💙
Your ability to change colors while playing and have the color of light change is unbelievable. How do you get the light on the piano to sync with the notes while playing different things on different colors and have them synced with your playing, it's just unbelievable. Bravo!!
Im trying to learn your arrangement and God damn those jumps and the constant fast repetition was making my hands cramp😂 how long did this take you to learn and master?🤔
Depending on your age, if you've lived through the 80's you just can't ignore the goosebumps given by the music when Tom Cruise is riding the bike through the landscape
I think you might be a big reason behind my survival during the worst of my depression. I learnt to channel my emotion and dark thoughts into the piano and as such I can now play it reasonably well, all thanks to your amazing, motivating piano videos. I still remember watching your Interstellar video before your channel was as popular as it is today and thinking about how incredible your performance was. Thank you. :)
PLEASE COULD YOU DO THE MAIN THEME FROM TOKYO GHOUL 'UNRAVEL' some of the best music ive ever heard would love to hear u play it on piano, Love ur vids X
Wonderful! I am continually waiting for whatever your next arrangement is, waiting to see what you're going to tackle. As always, this one didn't disappoint! I feel like I need to go back to the Oblivion soundtrack after this...
Patrik... Keep up the great music! As a kid, I played string bass in school and I fell in love with classical music then. Hans Zimmer is perhaps one of my all time favorite composers. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to "Time" from Inception. I had forgotten about "Tennessee" til I saw it also listed by you. Love what you do...don't stop!
This video is so cool because you showed your blueprint, the violet 💜 is for the bass line, the blue💙 is for the mids (arpeggios and main chords) and yellow💛 is for highlighted note and chords. Now I know the secrets of your arrangements😈😂.But my brain can't process how you managed to program the light of your piano to follow the bass the mid and high. You will never stop surprising me. LOVE YOU PATRIK 💜💙💛
