You must be missing a step here because "Camo" is not an option in the dropdown. OBS installed successfully. Camo installed successfully. Both running fine.
Hi Matthew, thanks for the nice video you have shared, its really awesome brother. In your video, you talked about sharing the link for the coupon but you might have forgotten to put it down. Could you please share it again? Thanks
Ok, problem, I cannot get my Samsung S23 ultra to work using Camo, how to I get the S23 Ultra open with the camo software on my PC Win 11, I see the my phone in the device list, but then get this message: pair a mobile device via file?
I loved this video and how straightforward it’s been! I will check if you have any videos related to how to improve PC performance. Sometimes the picture on Camo lags and I’m not sure why. Sometimes it doesn’t. I would like to find a setting that I can always rely on. I have a Dell XPS 15 with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Graphics Card. I also use OBS alongside Camostudio. Thank you so much!
That's a pretty good setup! There's a lot of settings in OBS that can cause performance issues, I don't have any optimization tutorials performance wise but there's plenty of content on YT. If you do 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps that's a good start for quality consistency. I think a big one in this case will be how much RAM your pc has since you're using multiple apps. As a side note it is now possible to record video right inside camo studio
Thank you so much for your reply! I didn't know I could record inside Camostudio. That's great. I will have to try that. I also tried using my iphone with an actual USB cable and that stopped MOST of the lagging. Thanks for the great info!! @@ContentCreationWithMatt
Great video! I can't get the audio to work though. I can record video no problem and it looks great however I can't figure out how to record the audio, any ideas? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a Windows 11 machine.
When switching scenes in OBS from gameplay camera to say a chat screen camera, I am not able to add the camo to the chat source. It states it is already in use by another app?
@@ContentCreationWithMatt yes all sorted. When adding the camera you must select deactivate when not using so in another scene it can switch automatically. Thank you
With Camo, I know it allows multiple cameras and even multiple iPhones. But can you bring them in as separate sources in OBS to allow for split screen, PiP and other multiple camera views?
Great question! I don’t think it’s possible to have multiple Camo feeds in OBS but I haven’t tested this. My thinking is it will likely only be capable of one Camo source at once.
@@ContentCreationWithMatt has this been patched in yet? Having multiple cameras in camo is kinda useless if you can't import them as separate sources in OBS. Further, do you know if Camo plans on patching in 4k video capability?
I don't think so the dev team is more focused on building recording features into the software than expanding capabilities to other tools such as OBS. I use OBS with a DSLR + Camo for a top down shot.
Yes I have, my computer can’t quite handle the mic for some reason my audio doesn’t sync up to my he video and I always have to fix it in post. Until I upgrade the computer!
@@ContentCreationWithMatt I'm experiencing an exact same problem and my PC doesn't need an upgrade (I have i9 12900 and 3080ti). I've done literally everything and nothing did fix it. I have stumbled upon your video and now I'm thinking that Camo is actually the problem.
@@ShaniKees I'd highly recommend connecting with the support team through the reincubate website, I know that seems like a pain but I've seen tons of updates, improvements and they are highly responsive. It's a great team.
Hi Matt. Thanks for the very informative video. I am finding that there is a visual and audio lag when I move and speak. Do you know of a fix for this? Thanks!
This happens with USB Mics it can be resolved by going into the audio properties and setting a sync delay on the microphone source. Try setting -130 Ms on your mic. If that doesn't fix it try +130 ms
I will keep that in mind 😁 thank you. Just starting with OBS so most likely some questions came up. Got one now: can I use iPhone and iPad for same recording on obs using Camo?
You can but you have to switch between devices inside the Camo app. Camo sends a single feed to OBS, even if you add multiple sources inside OBS you’ll still need to switch between devices in Camo since it’s not currently possible to use multiple devices simultaneously in Camo
Yeah that could work! You could try EpocCam on the secondary device this would give you a wireless connection option too. Then you can switched between Camo and EpocCam in OBS. I have another video on this channel that compares Camo and EpocCam
I've sorted it. In case anyone is struggling in the future I had to install a compatibility thing (was in a little notification at the top of the camo app) before it would allow it to show in OBS
Hi. Is it possible to have two cellphones connected through Camo into OBS and be able select any one with scenes? I´ve tried with no luck, maybe I´m doing something wrong
This is amazing and helpful 👍🏻 I got tired of messing around with Logitech webcams on a Mac. It doesn’t work right etc. I do have a quick question. Camo and OBS did work ok but my camera size screen on OBS is about 16:9. . It has empty spaces on the right and left so how can I get it the size that you had it in the initial screen. Is it a size setting on Cano or OBS. ? Thanks 🙏
You sometimes have to set the resolution for some video inputs to 1920 X 1080. I had to do this with my Logitech webcam. In the source panel you can right click on your camera and change the settings to a 16:9 resolution of your choice.
I put two cell phones. However, when I go to OBS Studio, it only identifies the CAMO app as an option for a camera and to switch to the second cell phone, I have to leave OBS and go to CAMO and select the second cell phone. Is there any other way that OBS studio can identify the two cell phones and give me the option of configuring them as scene 1 and scene 2?
If you use OBS you can connect the Restream app to it for live streaming to social media and bypass zoom unless you’re looking to have participants join your zoom room then that makes sense. Not sure what specifically you mean by “video” do you format/orientation or something else?
@@ContentCreationWithMatt thanks a million, yes I'll have participants, meant which utube videoclip of yours shud I watch for complete beginner set up of app
hi. i love the content and i installed the free camo on my pc now to test it. just a simple question, what's the difference between using the camo with obs, and using obs alone? with obs we can setup multiple camera angles, so no need for camo. but if i'm going to use camo with obs, what exactly is going to be the role of camo for pc? (i'm guessing maybe - correct me if i'm wrong - use camo as a webcam app for iphone?) thanks.
Soon hopefully they will release recording features for PC in camo. Until then the purpose of camo + OBS was to give you more controls over your phone. Also I've never tried to bring my phone into a source within OBS without camo. Is that even possible to use your phone as a camera inside OBS without a third party app? I'm on Android now so I don't have an iPhone anymore.
If you've installed Camo and you've connected your phone it should show up in OBS, otherwise you'll need to connect with support on the reincubate website
Add a new source after you plug it in to your computer. You might need an HDMI USB Stick to get a good feed into the computer I recommend Elgato Camlink
If anyone sees this, my profile picture is sideways for some reason. I attempted to rotate it before I uploaded it and everything else that I could think of. Can someone assist me in fixing my profile picture.. Thanks.
Hey Matt, great tutorial. Just downloaded and starting using Camo. Camera function looks great on Zoom calls. Wanted to record a video using camo and store it on my PC local hard drive like using camera app in windows. How does one do that?
You can't use Camo to record on PC yet, I've been bugging them about this for awhile. Your best option is to follow this video and install OBS to work with Camo
@@ContentCreationWithMatt Hey Matt, thanks, was able to figure it out by switching the camera option to Camo on the camera app on win10. I have the free version for now. I hit a few buttons by trial and error that have zoomed into a very close view of my face. I wanted zoom out to get back to original camera view. Is there a way to reset view in free version? Thanks so much, Will
That's the rotate camera icon you have to cycle through all available cameras. If you've setup camo studio and your phone is ready to go should be able to keep click the camera cycle icon
