Those factory door panels still have good value!! A 1/2 hour with some spray on carpet cleaner and brush, around $300 on ebay. Replace the window felt and door pulls upward of $500. They are getting hard to come by.
I agree if they are in half way descent condition. Mine had the fabric warn out on the top with cigaretteburns in other spots. The wood was also rotted out from behind the pull. The pulls were cracked too. Some one was not very kind to this truck before I purchased it.
@@thisoldhooptie The factory panels on my truck cleaned up ok, but the dye on top was bleach out. So I found a better set of panels on ebay. It took a while to find them, I still had to clean them up and replace the felt and arm rest. My dash core was so rotten, that it fell apart into a dozen pieces when I unbolted it. I found a dash core on ebay that showed up in pretty good shape.
@@GNaron I dont think many people get to escape the dash cracking issues. Unless its kept in a garage always. Mine was really bad too. I saw another youtuber test the dashskins cover and was sold. $120 and no pulling the dash out. I still need to paint and silicone it to whats left under it. Always have a project or 6 going. :)
@@thisoldhooptie I tried one of those dash patch / repair kits once. Half of it blew out the window one day, that was my first and last try!!! Even though it was on a Mexico hwy, I'm still not going say how fast I going.
I would order a set but being I have a crew cab, I need the back doors too. In fact, this company could make some good coin by offering complete interior replacement kits since parts for these older trucks are getting harder to find. Door panels look really nice but I can't do the dash cover as it only hides the problem of a cracked dash and doesn't actually address replacement or repair.
@@thisoldhooptie I contacted Coverlay to inquire if they had any plans to make rear doors panels for crew cabs and kinda got the run around with no direct answer but the beating around the bush answer is that they won't produce the rear doors. I told them I would order a full set if they offered them but I'm not gonna do half of my truck and make it look odd inside because of mismatched panels. I also asked about the dash and that went no where fast. Ultimately ended up finding a brand new OEM dash for my 97' but it's gonna cost me a pretty penny plus a body part or two and the soul of my next born child 😆.
@@charlesstevenson5141 I should have mentioned it in my reply. The guy I spoke to a while back basically told me to hit the junk yards and good luck. Some one will come out with it sooner or later probably cost the same as the tmi high end stuff. Is what it is 🙃
I bought exact duplicates for my 94 for 500 for the set . Built better but look just like the factory ones. I like the fabric myself the ones in video are same one LMC sells.
Most companies just have coverlay and others drop ship their product these days. I agree the aftermarket ones are built better. Its nice not having the door pull apart every time you open or close it 🤣

Pretty sure your looking for the red 1995 panels. Use this Google search: 1995 400ss red door panels coverlay Find the cheapest seller closest to you. Good luck with your project 👍
is there anyway you could please shoot me a link to where you purchased all your parts? 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I have a 92 Silverado long bed Z 71 4 x 4 that I have been wanting to restore for years only has 35,000 miles original. Beautiful thank you for any and all information and your videos very informative 🙏🏼
The links to purchase any items in my videos are in the descriptions of each video. These are coverlay door panels. The best way is to Google coverlay Chevy 1500 door panel and then find the cheapest seller at the time. This can save 50 to 100 dollars. Good luck with your project 👍
I dont think they sell them any more. These happen to have come on the truck when I purchased it. Ill see if can find out where they are from and post back here.
Here's the lower dash parts on ebay I have not found the heater core cover yet. www.ebay.com/itm/88-94-Chevy-Silverado-Suburban-Sirerra-Billet-lower-dash/254847231013?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20191002094254%26meid%3Dec3258db402d4eeb9b9fa18823260439%26pid%3D100891%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D254845215884%26itm%3D254847231013%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DDefaultOrganic%26brand%3DChevrolet&_trksid=p2332490.c100891.m5206
@@TeLaComes713 30 years ago they sold kits in magazines you could plug up under the door panel over the window manual crank and cut a hole to mount the switch in the door panel or on the dash. I did an old Nissan hard body and an s10 with that kit. Today with the junk yards full of obs probly easier to just grab the whole metal door inners and wire/switches and plug them up. Probly cost a $100 or close to it.
@@thisoldhooptie thats exactly what I'm doing grabbing the inner door metal and wire harness from the door to the cab and making it look like it came from the factory with power window and locks.
I'm not sure what you mean by square interior locks. The 88 to 94 c1500 has square locks. Mine are door panels for a 1992 c1500. If you have the same year hardware on your doors then yes. If you have the older or newer model c1500 you need to get that model coverlay door panel. I popped on Google then searched coverlay door panel 1992 c1500 then selected the site with the cheapest price including shipping. The sites have sales I saved $80 vs buying direct. Ill look for the purchase email then paste the site link here in the am. May be cheaper options though I would use Google. I payed $385 for the model with cloth only along the bottom pocket.
They are much stronger then my old ones. The wood was rotted out on them. To answer your question the plastic is pretty thick, I am very happy with the quality. I do belive they are as strong or stronger then the originals. Keep in mind the ones I purchased have the solid uppers no fabric at the window part like the old ones.
Lmao i saw u toss 400 dollar worth of used door panels lmao ouch! But i mean i was planning on going original but ehh thats played out i want my interior to be durable and last a while and the original interior is usually used and in terrible condition so i think im gonna go this exact way as well but maroon red instead of black
Where did you get your billet accessories? Kickplate under glove compartment, billet plater near powerlock/window switches, and bottom door seal? @myprojectlife
Try Cunninghammachine.com they are remaking the billet stuff now. Also the column parts are from amazon and a few bits from ebay. Best bet these days is like I said Cunninghammachine.com they make good stuff, door bushings and steering shaft too. 👍
Hey man thanks for the video I have a 94 chevy truck as well I wondering where do you get the chrome parts front the door inside open handlers please ??
Where did you find the billet interior bezels and other billet pieces? I've been looking literally everywhere and i can't even find stock replacements, much less billet for the silverado models. I don't even care about pricing, I just need new ones.
Check Ebay and Amazon for the billet pieces. People have been scooping these up fast check Ebay daily or weekly. The whole dash and some plastic pieces are from LMC truck. The ones that they do not sell can be found on Facebook market place, Instagram search obs parts, or junk yards.
Thank you 👍 I am pretty sure I show them in the door actuator wiring video in my playlist. I will link it here in a min. I have them mounted in same spot both sides. Bottom rear corner of the door frame the little flat round spot on the cab where the rubber piece on the door hits. It's the perfect shape for the all round autolock I used. I will also link the product here. Give me a few minutes.
Here you go its some where in this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--l6erDZyxAg.html I am pretty sure the part is in the description too. If not let me know ill get you a link to the ones I used.
Dang man I appreciate such a fast response. I am using the avs kit. The actuators are so nice . I just wasn't sure where to mount the the actual popper in the door frame that pushes the door open .thanks for your help and keep up the good work.
@@Blazin1978 Thats a great kit. I customized an autolock shaved door kit. I added the avs features like the jumper wire, thats so important. Your battery will die at some point and can be popped by a drill battery or any car with jumpers. Good luck with your project 😁
I believe the cheapest at the time was from partsgeek.com they were around $380 instead of $460 from Coverlay. The price does vary depending on the door type. Mine only has the carpet at the bottom and no leather or vinyl up top to rot again.
Could you please link in your next video where you got all your billet interior pieces !? Would appreciate it so much ! Definitely subbing 👍🏻 Chevy guys
Will do, thanks for joining the project! If you haven't already checked I believe some or all has been replied to other comments. I think in my color swap videos.
I believe there are 2 types of door panels for the blazer or k1500 for 94. Go to coverlays website and put your make and model it will show you the right panel. coverlaymfg.com/series-1-coverlay-replacement-door-panels.html?matchtype=&network=g&device=m&keyword=&campaign=6664332865&adgroup=87574220588&gclid=CjwKCAjw7p6aBhBiEiwA83fGutrlykYjYaD1QNr0KC8LCUkJecTBhNVq0_kGLDFww_7mL2VHrc8g8xoCmLEQAvD_BwE
These are the ones I purchased www.carparts.com/details/Chevrolet/C1500/Coverlay/Door_Trim_Panel/1990/CVL1827FBLK.html?TID=gglpla&origin=&gclid=Cj0KCQiAmKiQBhClARIsAKtSj-lOcXtfi4PS1udA8bEhqJHjshWOmpnUw88wLQXyMGEWFNKQLmEnIPMaAvSLEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Definatly use Google and make sure that's the best price you can find. Some places may be $50 or $100 cheaper. If you want the exact ones make sure the add says no upholstered top and if you have power or no power in your doors.
Thanks! Its a spal shaved door handle kit. Allows remote control of the door pull inside the door. Since I have the handles removed from the outside this is the standard along with an external button to pop them open. Look up 80lbs shaved door kit. Spal is cheap it has always worked for me. The shaved door kit by avs is more expensive and from what I hear the easiest to install also a great option. I liked some of the avs features so I wired them I to the cheaper spal kit, for the best of both worlds.
@@rojohfg8662 I found them on Google for around $390 they are the ones with carpet only on the lower part no fabric on the top where the window is. From Coverlay they are $460. Hit Google shopping tab and they can be found for $80 or $90 less. I am very happy with mine.
Good catch. I didnt because my panels were comming back off multiple times as you have seen if you followed the changes to the rest of the interior and exterior over the last year. For me the panel was very tight with just the clips.
Aye bro I’ve been trying to network with all the new RU-vidrs on here to build support and help each other out that have been trying to build their channels.
@@thisoldhooptie yeah, everything has gone up a bit. I honestly thought about making some out of fiberglass resin and fleece. Would be different for sure!
@@ScratchandDentGarage Thats a good idea, you can still pull and old pair from a junk yard and test on those. Would be way cheaper and with alittle work probly come out similar. I think the spray way channel or one of the painting channels did this to a chevy caprice a couple years back on youtube.
@@thisoldhooptie for sure. I know sprayway did the dash for sure. Not exactly my style but with some tweaking and some time and practice I’m sure it would be way cool. I wish my truck was manual locks and windows just because of the simplicity, but I do enjoy having power!
Love them, they really clean up the inside and with no padding up top they are supper easy to clean. I got the all plastic top with only the carpet pocket model.
@@thisoldhooptie thats not bad actually. I felt it in my soul about the handles catching on the body when you open the door. I keep putting temporary patches on em but my passengers forget this ol girl is almost 30 years old they yank too hard😂😂
I searched on google for coverlay door panel c1500. I found that multiple resellers on average were $80 cheaper then others at the time I purchased. I believe mine were from carparts.com. I would re run a search then go with the lowest price with shipping.
