Glad two see you are still doing these tutorials Scott as you had mentioned you were into other stuff too! Man! You are a one man production company with all those extras and graphics! Just awesome!
Oh goodness. Thank you so much Mr. Fichter! This is a great video and I absolutely love your editing and your energy. I can tell you really care about the quality of your work and that you enjoy doing what you do. You've taught me like 4 different useful skills in this one video. Also, thank you so much for the free stuff!! You the man! God Bless you brother
@@ScottFichter, where did you get the lower third movie you used here? I noticed they were all ".avi" on the tutorial, is that what's needed? I tried a ".mov" & got nothing. Wouldn't even play on my Windows Media Player. I found a .mov to .avi converter. Once I converted it it played fine on my Windows Media Player. But when I try to take it into OBS, I just get the red adjustable square in the upper left corner. When I resize it,I get a blank square. I tried the move up, move down feature & get nothing. Help PLEASE!!! I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO DEBUT THIS ON SUNDAY!!!
Really starting to get into OBS and enjoy your content. Thanks for the awesome 3d Subscribe buttons and Lower Thirds. Going to get alot of good use out of them.
Excellent! I use OBS and Zoom to stream an in-person club meeting to those who can't join us in person, and this animation is the perfect way to dynamically identify each speaker. Because it's fully customizable, instead of the scrolling news feed I have each person's office or committee assignment in the second bar, and instead of a face I use the club's logo (which happens to be round, so it fits inside the circle perfectly, and even the size of the logo matches the branding "bug" already used in other scenes.) I chose to have the logo move in and out from the left so it appears to push and pull the text. But there are so many additional possibilities for other uses, once these skills are mastered!
Yoo Scott thanks again for your hard work on this stuff. At the beginning of this video it reminded of Jim Carrey from yes man when had had all those red bulls. Looks like you were amped on on some caffeine . Great work and thanks.
WOW, Scott, absolutely epic presentions! Nice use of effects, non-distracting from your content. Nice and very generous use of resources. Kudos, my man! GET SUM‼️ (or is that copyright infringement?) 😱🤘👏
I am currently using After Effects to build a .Mgrt file, editing in Premiere Pro, and then have all my scenes (Lower Thirds with different info) preloaded for the broadcast. Where I see your solution having an advantage is that the Advanced Scene switcher combined with the Move plugin allows multiple macros for multiple animations that automatically play. How I have been doing it is adding that single lower thirds I created, let it run, make sure I have the animation selected, and using the space bar to pause the single animation if I want it to stay visible, then hitting the space bar again when I want it to finish. I will have to see if I can just use the advanced scene switcher with my existing workflow to freeze the animation automatically at a predestined time. Thanks for the tips sir!
Hey Scott pretty nice tutorials... I'm falling in love with it! So I'd like to ask you to create a tutorial to use split view in live stream. Example: a full screen with elements, then in some moments we need to split it (from the right side) using other notations in the half screen, including the official screen at left.
So you're looking to maybe click a key on your keyboard and your full screen camera view (face camera) moves to the right and a second screen showing text shows on the left? Please advise homie. If this is close to what you're thinking it dooable.
Hi Scott, thanks so much for this tutorial. Is it possibile to make and control in obs an overlay made with a transparent ticker+text in this way? I need for my videopodcast and need to change text every single new episode. Something like H2R and Holographic do.
Hello Please I have been having problem I have install the advanced scene switcher but when I go to obs studio and go to tools I only found automatic switcher
The lower third graphics that I've created are 100% commercial free. I built them from scratch. They are all free. All I ask is that you don't resell them.
@@ScottFichter Yes I have the complete Adobe Creative Cloud package and I love playing with After Effects. Now I know how to animate and control some Lower Thirds I have in my collection. Thanks!
@@RickNealDJRico AE is incredible software. I've yet to make videos explaining how to use it. It's out of my niche but I would like to make a tutorial on how I made my lowerthirds. Maybe I could make a video and sell it for a few bucks. I dunno.
Great tutorial! I've been trying to up my OBS game and this will definitely do it. I am however looking for a way to initiate an event based on the color of a small area of the screen i.e. health meter changes scenes/colors/other stuff. Any tips or ideas on how to get this done?
I am currently on (MAC) I’m having trouble getting the lower third animation to appear once I download both files. When I click browse after selecting “media files” I have no L3rd animations to choose from. It’s as if nothing was downloaded. I’m not sure what to do.
Sir how can we set the custom time of showing the text (Name) on lower third video? Because it's transaction is very fast and no one can read properly what are the text are written? So please make a video on this topic. thank you!
Thank you so much! I'm enjoying learning OBS. My L-3rd wouldn't pause and, since I'm such a n00b, I didn't ACTIVATE Advance Scene Switcher. Once I saw this @<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="332">5:32</a>, "BAM!" Edit: But Wait, there's more (problems). My image and scrolling text stayed behind. I noticed your text was missing. But I'm guessing I just need to add these to the transition (hidden/visible) part. BRB Edit 2: I ended up having to do 9 (3 sets of 3) source movements (picture, name, subtitle). I hope I figured that out correctly that the source at the top only affects that single element. The video dropped the picture and the subtitle from the movement after the scene was built with them. My only remaining issue I see I need to fix/learn is during the scene start, the objects whose start position is off canvas to the right can be seen moving left to right across the visible canvas to their start position. Will make their start on the left side off canvas as a cheap fix. Thanks for feeding my brain!
I've run into this before following older videos. Its not working with OBS 30.0 and recent versions of ASS and Move. The script won't pause. Thank anyway.
I have 30.20 OBS Lower thirds quit working. I did the URL 3 hashtag change. It shows in properties but all I get in the preview is a red outline square. What the heck is wrong here?
Just starting to work on this after your kind offerings.. Looks killer. Stay Safe My Friend!! Also sent you an email. if ya get a min check it out... Thanks Rhett
THIS IS A GREAT QUESTION!!!!! Windows comes with a dictation tool OBS also has a solution. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZJpn026xwOo.html
My animated lower thirds is not working after the last update and I do not have a folder with the images you have for the new lower thirds you discuss in this video. What am I doing wrong Scott?
