Hi Awall, this is a good starting point to sync.TIP: You might want to make a much longer recording where you clap your hands multiple times. If you than play the recording using VLC you can change the audio/video sync during playback with the 'J' and 'K'-keys. And, that's the benifit, it will display the delay in ms in the right hand corner. Once you have achieved sync, copy the value into OBS advanced audio properties.
You are the first person to explain why the offset is necessary. Thanks! Makes sense that the video takes longer to render than the audio now that you mentioned it. Also the clapping helped me make sure it was in sync.
honestly you are ther only youtuber that i have found that actually has helpful straight to the point videos that don't require me to download 3rd party. thank you!! ☻
Thank you so much! Been struggling with this for two months now. It's midnight, I'm stressed and this is the best thing to happen to me all day! Thank you again!
A whole day of head aches with no internet and as soon as I get there, this came up and boom! 2 minutes later, you fixed my woes! Liked and subbed! This is what RU-vid should be for 👍👍❤️ thanks a lot!!
at first I was gonna hate because I watched almost to the end to see that I already knew this method and have been trying for hours to get the numbers right. I tried 140 first time and it worked. I've been playing between 1-50 for at least an hour. Thank YOU!
Thank you so much, this helped. (For whom is interested: I think, the monitoring is not "not reliable", but it takes the signal before processing. So monitoring to a virtual cable and putting this virtual cable to Zoom won't have the delay effect for Zoom.)
i actually had the reverse of the issue, where the audio was a little behind the video. Just did the same thing but with the video and it worked. Thank you so much!!
All this time, I've been trying to fix my syncing issues during the beginning of my streams. Never thought to make an offline recording of it to check instead. Thanks for making this video!
Massive thank you for the assistance on this as you helped me greatly in remedying this exact issue. Really appreciate your video and the ease to which you explained how to do this efficiently. Much love and happy holidays!
Works wonder to me. Thank you so much. My gaming page on Facebook improved way better with my voice insync with the game. I basically doing all his tips on OBS since the beginning. Stay safe and healthy everyone.
I work really hard on these videos James Warrior, so your comment is appreciated. I have released a mega-load of additional OBS Studio Tutorials that you may be interested in located here: ru-vid.com/group/PLlM_xT8ActQHCEgNi7gyjFLMFjBBavqYi. Thank you so much for this, I was feeling like such an idiot trying to work this out, it felt like nothing I did was working but I got it nailed now. Legend!
This was the most helpful video out of all the ones i watched so thanks Awall. Got it first try by setting the offset to 220ms and the claps helped a lot
thanks, i have a camera facing my face, a mic, and also recording a video game.... i used the mic on the camera and those seemed synced fine, but the game play was going faster than my face cam. i am going to try and sync all 3 now, thank you.
Thank you. It took me time to find the best ms... my webcam really messed it up with my separate audio. But, playing around with the ms delays as you showed, I finally made it. You are great. As usual.
Thank you. 😍 It was frustrating to record 4k video with OBS that was usually out of sync. This seems to fix that. Makes life much more easier when you don't have fix the sync in edit. 😁
Hi there, this helped out a lot in getting my video and audio synced up. I just needed a little more fine tuning but it is better than before. The way you explained it was very simple and direct that even a fifth grader can make it work. Thanks 😀😀😀
