To fix a delay: go into settings - Audio - mic input latency and adjust for your mic. To get your EXACT latency. Use a DAW/recording program. Record a tap sound into your microphone. Play that tap sound back THROUGH YOUR HEADPHONES into your mic. Line each track up directly where they were recorded. Get the time difference between the original tap, and the “re-recorded” tap. That is your microphones latency. Set your microphone latency to the number you came up with using this method and your Streamlabs will correct it. You’re welcome.

AG hands free is the circuit used for phone calls. In most cases if you want to use the microphone, that's part of the hands-free circuit and you need to use the hands-free output as well. Most bluetooth headsets can't run both circuits at once.

so thats why i cant use my bluetooth audio while using the handsfree too. when i disable the henadsfree in the recording properties, i can hear my audio but cant use my bluetooth microphone.. sigh.. at least now i know that i must buy custom mic right.. thanks.

@@Lobapixel and that's why is horrible, I have to try to use Stereo mode, but your mic won't work 'cause is only supported in AG hands-free mode. If possible, could you do a small tutorial about the wireless headphone where you can avoid DMCA strikes 'cause I have heard that if you keep setting just simple like that w/Stereo mode it could possibly risk you to have muted strims or get DMCA strike, etc.

My issue is I have a duel PC setup and I can’t get the headset audio on OBS. I have to set my PC (the one I’m recording) to DESKTOP/MONITOR SPEAKERS. I want to use my headset but OBS on the second PC won’t pick it up. Idk if this makes any sense.

the reason your headphones are having a delay its because the audio channels via Bluetooth are going to be slower then a cable wire as data transfer over the cloud is relying on radio waves rather then straight via a wire transfer. Hope this helps

Can you show how to do this with Streamlabs? As soon as I open Streamlabs, it turns off the game audio coming through the headphones. I can't hear myself through my headphones either. If I record or stream though, you can hear my voice but no game audio. It's like the mic in my headphones and the game audio can't both play at the same time through the headphones.

Any recommended fixes for users with Jabra Elite Active 75ts? I have a hands-free AG source and a Stereo source to take advantage of. It seems that no matter my setup, the laptop mic is preferable. I'm about to use my old-fashioned Sony wired earbuds and just say whatever to all of it. Been messing with this for about 4 hours now, and starting to get discouraging as I'm trying to do first-time setup for streaming with a small community already cheering me on. What can I do, yall?

No matter what I do, I can't get the stereo one to work, but I got the AG version to sound normal simply by having my laptop die and booted back up (everything was still up), so maybe just a quick sleep/wake cycle is a quick fix (?) . Tech is weird.

Honestly I’ve streamed on RU-vid once! And I didn’t use wireless headphones at the time! But try it out and see if it delays 👍. It did delay on gameplay for me so the experience wasn’t as good 👍

Exactly right! You need two separate mics if you want to chat in game on PlayStation like a headset mic and another microphone to record/livestream on obs 👍

I think you have to change the sound settings on your computer? Because once you set the monitoring device for your headphones in obs and the desktop audio is set, the desktop monitoring audio has to match exactly what you set for your desktop 👍

Some streamers listen to their own voices because some are used to it! And also to adjust their audio more accordingly too! But I don’t think there is a way to connect a wireless headset to a microphone? So you might need to connect to a pc/computer and then check your audio through the desktop 👍

Ohhh ok! I would go to the source where your avermedia is located> right click> select advance audio properties> and select monitor and output. See if that works? Hopefully that solves the problem 👍

I'm not a huge expert on Xbox, but from what you're telling me I'm assuming you're streaming on your xbox console and connecting your twitch account? If that's the case then you might have to play around with the audio settings on your xbox and join your twtch through your phone or desktop to audio test yourself to see if that works for you.

When u open OBS try to go on the Audio Channel in obs then click settings gear next to what audio u want to hear theb click Advanced properties this gonna open another tab.. and go where it says monitor select monitor output then u gonna hear the sound from OBS

Or maybe try and see what your monitoring device is set to in your headphone settings in obs! I would double check audio main settings and mess with the headphones monitoring device section and see if maybe that can help too? 🥲

I wish I knew! I have the same problem and couldn’t deal with it 🥲. But I think it might have to do with the actual Bluetooth connection, maybe the dongle is not as strong as a built in Bluetooth option in a computer? I’m not really sure, but I would love to also know if there’s an actual way to fix it too 🥲

So what I did was disable audio in the privacy settings then assigned my blue microphone as the default windows and OBS as the audio capture device then I re-enabled OBS access in privacy settings and it seems to work.

But honestly I think all you need is external speakers that plug into the pc and then find the option to switch from headphones to speakers and change the monitoring and audio settings in obs and I think it should work! But I haven’t tested that out myself 👍

I am an absolute noob and do not know what I'm doing wrong. I'm going to try and explain I just installed OBS so that I can record online lectures as I am watching them for later. However, when I open obs I can't hear any audio (I use a Bluetooth headset) I can hear the lecture when I disconnect my headphones or when I use jack earphones... What am I doing wrong??

So go to the Audio mixer where all of your microphone are located, then click on the cogwheel of your bluetooth device you want to change, then click advance audio properties, now you should see all the audio devices connected, go audio monitoring, then you want to click monitor and output, you now should be able to hear when you are recording and the actual playback

I still can’t get this to work. I’d love a new video , showing from scratch. Everything. add game screen Add chat screen Add mic to go to my stream Add my game audio through obs Then add my wireless headset to work on stream. So we would have a fully functional stream, with voice and chat working on stream , through ps5. That would be a perfect 100%?working video, and in my opinion, would be the best you tube video on here. Just simple step by step of getting a wireless headset to work in obs on console. I have yet to ever find such a video, in over 6 years of streaming . 🤷‍♂️👌👍

YOU CANNOT HEAR A SOUND WITH YOUR WIRELESS HEADPHONES IT IS BECAUSE IT HAS INCORRATED MICROPHONE, YOU CAN DEACTIVATE IT FROM THE DEVICE MANAGER. I'M LOOKING FOR A WAY TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN AND USE THE HEADPHONE MIC AT THE SAME TIME IF SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING LET ME KNOW

If you’re using obs then you can change your settings in advanced audio settings and change the monitoring output of your microphone and if you change those settings you should be able to hear yourself! If it’s confusing I would reference to the video that I mentioned at the beginning of the video 👍
