This is my obscenely overpowered Pure Intelligence Poise Mage. Watch him terrorize Elden Ring PVP Invasions with his godlike power. #eldenring #eldenringpvp #eldenringinvasions #eldenringgameplay
Lol, I'm not a master. I do stupid shit sometimes. I drink my kerplode physic at the wrong time. I roll off cliffs. I get one shotted from behind by jump attack spam. All just like you. The only difference is, I can atleast win 70% of the time. I'm not a master I've just been doing this for a decade. I don't take it super seriously, I just do what I enjoy. I am also hyper aggressive and sometimes that gets me killed. If I was more passive I could probably up my winrate to 80-90% on a good day.
I love the “honest” invasions you do. Like ChaseTheBro is obviously the deadliest player. But he hardswaps and is more completely melee focused. You make proper builds without hard swapping. It’s a nice change of pace
I think he’s clear of JeeNiNe & Chase tbh (The) Former for when I want nerdy content & Chase is good chad content but Drunk is op. His gameplay is so candidly Genius funny asf he’s not using abusing any certain techniques. I think it’s all in his camera placement when he’s unlocked idk + drunk is chief badredman it’s the only joy he derives, the tiny odds, soul taker fr👺
Hey Drunk! Maybe you just didn't show clips and you already know, but just in case: Carian Regal Scepter's weapon art true combos into a Carian Slicer. That's a lot of burst damage for very low FP, specially when you use it as a turn-and-burn. Also you might want to look for another Memory Stone and slot Law of Regression since this whole build can be countered by Barrier of Gold. At least that's what I did on my pure mage build and I haven't looked back since. Great video as always!
I actually just found out about the Carian slicer true combo in the comments today. And yes I have considered law of regression, just haven't gotten around to it. I am lazy
@@danielwakowski-to1hq true well kind of😅 but again if you try colosseum pvp it’s something totally different i mean it’s more technical and a bit more difficult
If you want a tiny bit of extra poise, but still look nice, instead of using bull goat check out the beast champion arms and legs with the Loretta chest. Those two sets mix really well together imo
Have you considered adding the satff of loss, with Night Shard and Night comet to your build? People tend to not dodge night shards that well. And what about Terra magic? Are you not using it because it kind of reduces your ability to play aggressively?
Tree sentinel armor is the new best poise to weight ratio armor set in the game now instead of veteran's set. Granted this isn't a holy or maybe gold lightning builds but still figured I mention it since that set actually does look good though I replace the helm with Tannis's mask.
@@Drunk_Souls yea it happened when that patch that adjusted the amount of poise pretty much every armor set has. I get wanting to match what your build is though I tend to do that as well.
Great content as usual. Also Spinning weapon true combos into slicer. So you can near one shot. And it leads into a very easy roll catch with piercer or chase slicers.
I only stayed and dealt with him because I hated him. Wanted to assert dominance. And I do not hate Jeenine. He's not my favorite content creator, but I do respect his skill. Even if he has bad opinions sometimes or his commentary isn't always the best, I respect his abilities and I've always been a staunch defender of him because he is good. I do however hate his clones who mindlessly copy the things he does hoping they will win.
@@Drunk_Souls you misunderstood. I don’t “hate” the guy, but like I’ve said before, he takes himself, and the game way too serious. Like his life depended on it or something. People like that don’t cut it in my book. But that’s just my opinion on the matter. That said, I do agree that he’s good at the game, but at what cost? If you look at people like yourself, daddy riot, lost, chase, prod, etc. you all enjoy the game and actually have fun with it, wether you win or lose. You don’t stoop down, or use underhanded tactics and all that just because you’re losing, or winning. Y’all stay true to the build that you’re running, and thats something I respect. On the other hand, players like jeenine, steelovsky, and some other guy that I forgot his name atm, do the most, like they’re trying to prove themselves for whatever reason. Ego perhaps? Who knows. I have a friend who used to play elden ring and fought jeenine once. He died due to latency and afterwards he messaged jeenine to let him know that lag was involved and if they could run it again. He told me jeenine dissed him calling him things like “trash”, “not even worth his time”, etc. I mean, who would respect someone like that? But hey, that’s just me.
Between you an lost id half to say are the 2 best invaders. Not a g9 fan he's way to much of a words I can't say lol. Keep rocking Drunk an much love brotha
@@Drunk_Souls lol. Not a fan. After he called those that play at high levels like I do after he called us all trash etc. That's pretty toxic for a player to say that. You an lost you don't trash those that enjoy playing at higher levels etc he does. Tells alot about a person when you look down others that play it differently. Why I have alot of respect for you, cause ypur not out there judging ypu just want others to enjoy pvp an invasions no matter the level.
@@Drunk_Souls I see. Lost is one of my favorites besides you to watch . Have you really tried a level 300 or.350 invasions Drunk? Ever played at really high levels? Yes iv played 150. I'm was a squishy mage that bonked people quite fun
ah man this is gold my first video I’ve ever seen of yours and I love it this is exactly how I’d talk playing elden ring smacking around all the cringe RoB/bh step L2 lords and stars or ruin nonexistent vigor mages lol makes me wanna start playing again but I’ve been patiently waiting for DLC so excited it’s finally announced
I’ve used something similar like this, my favorite punish is if you see someone spamming jump attacks, you can run up right under them and start up the bonk bonk spell and catch them behind you with it as they land and it’s just 🤌 also my favorite spell combo is collapsing stars into gavel because if their bad (usually they are) they get sucked in into you for a free bonk
What you think about Jellyfish Shield? its only 30sec though. Will it provide less damage than Lusat's off-hand? Also 20str feels a bit of a waste for mage, but for buff I'll need only 16 taking it both hands.
I'm not getting any audio on this video. It might be a bug on RU-vids end bc I see it happens to other creators and the videos are fine for them but not a good portion of the audience. I'll try and come back later to see if it fixes itself for me bc this video seems really entertaining.
It is glitched on mobile devices. If you can't hear, come back in 5-10 minutes and it will be fixed It is a glitch on the site's mobile apps. Easily fixes itself with time
I have luck punishing panic rollers with Magma Shot after Spinning Weapon. Not as good as Slicer, but a fun mix up and finishes the job. Throwing it on the ground before spinning weapon helps catch more stagger time it seems, too.
@@Drunk_Souls High INT, a sprinkle of FTH (pretty much for spell requirements), main Regal and offhand the magma staff. I like to keep frost dual straight swords or curved swords as back up since frosted enemies take extra damage from fire. If I'm being fancy I use Magma Blade and Wing of Astel. I've one shot players with both Magma Shot the time bomb one. (please level your Vigor people who aren't... or not. I love to one shot you.) I sadly jumped to 200 to boost my DEX/END and try it out, but you can drop some of that or a small bit of INT to fit it between 137 - 168 brackets. Kind if fits in with Death Sorcery build stats more or less. You could make the Magma staff stronger by balancing out FTH and INT more but I mostly just care for the boost while having the spinning weapon ash of war and superior sorcery scaling. It's so god damn powerful as a close range option for mages and spell blades. I hope I inspire you to try it out! Edit: most Magma sorceries are best free aimed so it feels great when it works out
maybe you should utilize the game's duel feature so you don't have to chase people down. you'd complain less :). The narcissistic smack talk of your opponents doesn't reflect well on your character.
I'm happy that Elden Ring brought in a ton of new players, but boy... these kids suck at being good, let alone creative. Your teabags make my day when it comes to these kinds of players.
@@Drunk_Souls These are the same types of people who then run off to reddit or steam and bitch about the game being too "artificially difficult" because enemies are one shooting them lol no shit. 😑
How come no one goes over 170.. Im new lvl 241 does this impact my invasions? Like am i less likely to find ppl level 200 so i wont get as many matches?
Dude should of stuck to BHS Rapier because he clearly doesn’t know how to use a UGS. Imagine hardswaping like that but being so afraid of PvP. Bet he has never seen a gold banner.
I think you're wrong about the magic being too strong. If you just have a lot of weapons and consumables, you can just swap this and you'll have it all. You swapped a bow or a longbow - a long range, you swapped a giant shield or a jar cannon - a nuclear explosion, you swapped a weapon with cancerous ash of war - meta, you swapped a slow weapon for a fast one - finished off the enemy.
Swapping is annoying and breaks a lot of immersion for me. I have no issue with people doing it, but I rarely do. I don't like digging in my menus. Although I can swap pretty fast, I'd just rather have magic for versatility. Plus magic hits like a truck.
@@Drunk_Souls I think that swapping is very strong and even overpowered. Also, I personally think that a timer should be introduced into the game to change equipment. But it is in the game (swap) and many people use it, so I see no reason not to use it sometimes.
I've heard you mention this a couple of times but why do you hate taunter's tongue? Is it because you don't want to invade solo hosts? Elden ring is the only game that gates invasions behind co-op so i don't get the hate
For one, I find fighting one person boring. I want to overpower 3 people. Also, Taunter's tongue hosts are usually dishonest. They tend to be people who want to duel with advantages, which is why they lure invaders in out in the wild instead of going into the arena. Out in the wild they can: Chug when they're losing (plus they have double the amount of heals) Hide daddy phantoms in the bushes to come kill you if they start losing Run away Call blues Have rune arc active They can do cheesy stuff like this. I'm not down with it. 80% of them are like this. I like the cool Taunter's tongue hosts I run into every now and then, but they're so rare I just expect the scumbags as soon as I see one.
I appreciate the fashion over function, heaviest I'll go is banished knight with bull goat or prelate greaves, all the top heavy armour is ugly as hell Also when I run this build gotta have that parry, doesn't take much stats at all to have a magic misericorde in the back pocket
@@Drunk_Souls I mean, some of them have already completed the game before and want more of a challenge by luring in invaders, but those are pretty rare.
Lmaooo the fight from 11:52 (but RLLY getting anime at like 13:44) wasn’t really cringe it was actually coolaf probably woulda looked cooler in a 3rd person view. Funny enough he’s actually one of the only solo hosts I’ve seen with a similar level of survivability as you loool I mean imagine how annoying it would be to play u you’re elite bro & more importantly not cringe meta-heavy elite🧐😤 (u can do it any which way tho) but yh quickstep isn’t cringe Imo, should at least get credit for being part of the 10% that don’t use pew pews. PS: you can’t run outta blue w Quickstep I don’t think, same animation Or maybe it’s just less I frames idk
Awe the big big baby doesn't like when someone activates taunters tongue is prepared ur lucky he was solo I hope one day u invade my work lmfaooo I'll show u a build that hits to hard
Lol, I'll repeat this again for the guy who doesn't think before he says. Now, if you really think your "PVP readyness" is intimidating to me, I will fight you.
@Drunk Souls There are people that do invasions properly. You don't. In rare occasions when you engage in a fair fight and succeed. I have to admit, Its fucking impressive. But it's clear from your words, you hate such conditions.
@@azne7969 bruh. 2 or 3v1 is never a fair fight in my favor. People who claim you just fight 3 dudes straight up in invasions have never won an invasion LMAO.
Plays a pure intelligence build at high levels. Calls another mage who is even more of a pure mage than him a cringe lord. Bro is the epitome of hypocrisy.
We call them cringelords because they don't level vigor and they wear ugly fishbowls on their heads. There's a stark difference between my build and his. I'll say it for the slow people in the back.
Bc they’re literally trying to solely play pve. Pvp is a whole different ball park. Like until I see you in the arena getting the same results. Or even playing agains’t people on jeenines level. I can’t help but not agree when you call someone a cringelord for playing pve
@@Sir_Pinkerton_III If you weren’t so salty for no reason, you would realise that you contradicted yourself. These are invasions, not colosseum duels. Your job as an invader is to impede the progress of the host by killing them. Your job as a host is to make sure your build doesn’t get one tapped by an invader and tbagged. This has been the core of souls PVP since demon’s souls. If you want to treat them like fighting games, then that’s cool too, but that doesn’t invalidate this form of pvp as well, where you as the invader are always at a disadvantage.
@@CurseSeer4561 when I say arena. I’m talking about duels or the colosseum. 9/10 out of time you’re gonna find people with way more pvp oriented weapons and ashes of war. Like I don’t know if elden ring is your first fromsoft game. But comparing the average persons skill level on elden ring to ds3. The casual player on ds3 was way more skilled. Bc the majority of people playing ds3 were souls veterans. So again. I find calling someone a cringelord for running a build specifically for pve. To be very dumb. Also don’t try and call me salty when the guy himself quite literally tried to insinuate I was dumb for pointing obvious things out
@@Sir_Pinkerton_III you’re incredibly salty for no reason. And yeah, no shit. Hence why I pointed out that these are invasions, not colosseum duels. You can’t compare the two. So I don’t understand why you’re complaining. If you enjoy watching duels more, then go watch a duelling channel. Don’t come over here and bitch because this guy is an invader. In order to invade well, you need to be able to juggle multiple opponents at once, focus and kill the host, in a variety of different settings that aren’t just a circular arena vs one person. It takes a lot of skill to do that. I don’t see why you’re so pressed about that. It doesn’t matter what you think the average skill level of the pve players are, it’s their job to git gud and stop running shit builds when they should know by now that they’re going to get invaded when they co-op. I’ve been playing these games since demon’s souls on the ps3, I think I understand the difference between invasion pvp and duelling pvp. It doesn’t seem like you do. They’re both different, and frankly overpowering 3 people in an invasion is a lot more fun than a 1v1 spacing battle snooze fest. If that’s what you prefer then good for you, but don’t come over here whining about invasions and trying to claim that you’re better if you prefer 1v1s.
