Whats good Kings and Queens , I hope everyone had a good Xmas. To end the year off I created a mastercut of all the boxing stories told this year and put it in for VOL 3. Hope everyone enjoys and have a great New Years. I have plenty planned for 2024 hopefully next year I can reach my new goals and milestones.
Good things happen to good ppl, and you are one of them ppl Hancho! Congratulations in advance for next year and reaching your "Goals" and "Milestones" with Gods' blessings!...🎉 Thank you for sharing and taking the time to complete these videos made and put together from yourself, proving anything is possible with "Hard work-Determination"!...💯🥊
Here's the fight Hancho would use to introduce new fans (because he apparently thinks everyone speaks Thai or whatever)..... Somsak Sithchatchawal vs Mahyar Monshipour My own for MMA (gotta think about boxing one a bit longer) would be my fave fight of all time after giving them a short primer on the striking acumen of both Gomi and Daley...... Nick Diaz vs Takanori Gomi special mention for Nick Diaz vs Paul Daley
Thanks for this mastercut I wanted to ask u, since Loma is the best amateur ever... Do u also think Mark Breland was also part of that caliber? He didn't win 2 Gold medals but he did win one.. Do u think he also falls into that category?
@abfrm23rd-topic27 You said it my man. Hancho has the behind-the-scenes eye and perspective, and the dude knows more about the Eastern game/boxers than the majority of American outlets combined.
Best way to graduate from a casual to a knowledgeable hardcore boxing fan. But proceed with caution, the more you learn the greyer your hair will get 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love whenever u talk in detail about more obscure boxers years ago when I was much more of a casual fan it rly helped me gain appreciation for lesser known fighters in the sport. With all the over saturation of fighter like Floyd , Canelo, Tyson, Ali and tank . It’s a breath of fresh air u always have been the #1 guy for boxing history education keep up the great work hancho merry Christmas and happy new years ❤️🥊💯🎄
no only is tyson an amazing person. i met him at DFW airport between flights. i said "god bless you mr.tyson. love you brother". he stopped me and held my hand for a min straight while saying how thankful and bless he feels.
Cannot thank Hancho enough for all the stories about lower weight classes/Asian boxers. I'd never know about majority of these guys/fights - some absolute bangers - if it wasn't for videos like this.
Hancho we need more videos on fighters from like the golden age heavyweights and shit. More stuff from the 40-70’s! Love the content still, best RU-vid boxing channel by far
i love the asian boxing scene. there's so many unknown stories with so much lore to them. i wish if there was a channel that was doing video docs on asian boxing, that would be dope
What an upload this is! A great channel & all the videos are put together so well, thanks a lot for the first class content! Wishing you all the very best for a healthy and prosperous 2024 my man 🥊🤝🏻
HUGE fan of "The Resume Audit". I'm confident that there is also a massive percentage of (your) subscribers who are also looking forward to more videos being uploaded
Dude, I forgot to mention that I think you are a very knowledgeable and articulate young man and I can’t get enough of your videos. I don’t think I’ve ever completely disagreed with your opinion. Keep up the good work man 🥊
Tommy Morrison did not have to die. His ridiculous denial about his HIV caused his unfortunate death. Magic Johnson had HIV at the same time and he's still around today. He was the best pure puncher heavyweight in the game not named Mike Tyson. Dude carried so much power. 🎉
I remember Howard Cosell announcing that Holmes versus Ali fight and he was so disgusted that he said he would not do another boxing match. I think I remember that right. I do remember him calling it a travesty. Everybody knows that Ali took too much punishment at the end of his career and was never the same. If the diagnosis had been around back then he definitely would have had CTE. It was very ironic that a man who was known for his words was barely able to speak near the end of his life. 🎉🎉🎉
I WISH you would’ve got the Villa vs Ellis presser with Boots Ennis. Rashidi started talking shit and Boots said handle ya business or won’t be no fight
My fight I always use to get anyone into boxing is Castillo/Corrales1. To me,@ 53 years old and a fan since 1980, this was the best, most entertaining, action packed and well matched fight of my lifetime.😮🥊
An interesting one that not many are aware of is that the man who shot 50 Cent was Mike Tyson’s best friend In the late 1990s into the early 2000s 50 Cent has serious beef with a drug kingman named Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. The beef started over 50 Cent’s treatment of Ja Rule, who was apart of Murder Inc, a record label that Supreme funded and provided support for. 50 Cent gave Ja Rule a black eye in a fight and interviewers were starting to ask about 50 Cent in Ja Rule’s interviews. At the time 50 Cent was only an underground artist so it was a bad look for Ja to be repeatedly harassed by such guy. So Supreme ends up putting a hit on 50 Cent which was carried out on May 24th, 2000. The shooter was Darryl “Hommo” Baum who was Mike Tyson’s best friend and body guard. In the infamous Tyson post fight speech after Tyson defeated Lou Savarese on June 24, 2000…you know the one where he talks about eating children and shit? Well he mentions not training much and having to bury his best friend, that friend was the man who shot 50 Cent and was shot in the head 3 weeks after. “In the Bible it says what goes around comes around, Hommo shot me, three weeks later he got shot down, now it’s clear that I’m here for a real reason, cuz he got hit like I got hit but he ain’t fucking breathing” If you want this is a great story that you should include in a future video.
Imma say pacman /Morales, and for mma GSP vs anyone. Sorry I'm canadian so I'm biased in mma lol love your content brother!!! Thanks for throwing Lemieux in there in your previous vids, he was at times a beast lol
i grew up watching mma so thats where my knowledge is but still love boxing. 1) nate diaz vs michael johnson 2) tony Ferguson vs Anthony petis 3) zhang weili vs joanna jedrzejczyk
Roy Jones is a rare bird. He could have retired comfortably after beating Ruiz for the Heavyweight title but the competitor in him wanted to fight. I find it amazing that he was a shell of his former self yet he was dominating guys at the top of their game.
1:26:06 my nationality is dominican, yet strangely enough i dont know about any Dominican boxers through history. I know theres probably a bunch there, but i never heard of any not even stories. If anyone in the comments can educate me please do
The 3 fights I’d show someone to get them into the sport or if they’re just getting into the sport would have to be the Ward v. Gatti trilogy, Cotto v. Margarito II and Tyson v. Douglas
I appreciate boxing so much and any man who dared the ring has my applause, a tough game for sure. But have to say and will not relent Floyd does not belong in the same sentence with Marciano. If you could do a video on the super trilogies and or rematches that would be great!
My three are Bowe vs Holyfield (gotta watch all three), Hagler vs Hearns, and now Tzyu vs Fondura. Before Tzyu vs Fondura I'd have said Ali vs Frazier, again watch all three. So I guess it's like eight fights. Pacquiao vs Marquez and Leonard vs Hearns are awesome, and I recommend Hamed vs Kelly too. Thank you, Hancho! You're the goat! (Also anything with Shawn Porter)
wait I didn't know Tony the Tiger made it that far he fought Roy Jones Jr! Win or lose I remember him when I was a kid and met him at a Jr Olympics tournament. He was cool back then. He was like 100 w and some losses. Hey I'm glad I saw this. Always wondered what happened to him. I'm still proud of him
As a hardcore MMA fan, I’d suggest these three fights. Trust me. Matt Schnell vs Su Maderji Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figuredo 1 Glover Teixera vs Jiri Prochazka
Roy’s downfall was rough, I had to hold back tears a couple times. When that dude was mocking him with his own taunts and Roy whiffed like four shots in a row at the end of the round.. I had to leave the room
My 3 fights would be 1 -- Rumina Sato vs Kaoru Uno 1. 2 -- Wilder vs Fury 1. 3 -- Rua vs Arona. (I think that was who he fought, it was an ahsolute banger in Pride.)
I'm from Northern Ireland though we kind of count Ireland as a whole in Boxing, and in Rugby. It's got to be Barry McGuigan, with honourable mentions to Rinty Monaghan, Conor McGregor, and Carl 'The Jackal' Frampton.
Lumox isn't British. British boxers such as Henry Cooper, Frank Bruno, Ricky Fatton, Joe calzagie, Naseem Hammid and Barry Macguian just for examples. All fought and represented the uk. No dual heritage rubbish. You lumox fans never talk on how lumox doesn't live in the uk or how doesn't talk on the uk? He Canadian doesn't care about the uk. He hates on our hws. Look at what he says about Aj.
Man I can’t remember the name but that Japanese dude got a perfectly timed and placed body shot. Ouch! And omg I have never seen both eyes swell up so much he looked 👽
For Muay Thai it's Superbon vs Tawanchai from last year. If you do not know who they are or THINK you don't really like Muay Thai pleeease. Please watch it asap.
Man that Morrison v Mercer iskinda tough to watch. Not bc i was a huge fan but seeing a full grown man in Mercer just absolutely let lose on a lifeless body. Really hope ref was fined or fired
