Great information, awesome video! I recently returned at 60 and will be 63 this year, really love my 210 canopy as it does a great job for what I want for many years to come. Life is all about great experiences and having safe landings to be able to pack up and doing it all over again. It is too easy to get hurt when things go south and you aren’t prepared for it, really enjoying all your videos, keep them coming!!
Very nicely done. Kudos for mentioning that a very light wing loading may have adverse consequences in high winds. Your 45 degree comment was a good rule of thumb. Jump a "high performance" round parachute (PCs and PAPs) for a few years. The idea of turning into the wind at say 500-1000 feet AGL and actually PLANNING on the possibility of coming down at around 90 degrees in "full flight" (and in some instances actually moving BACKWARDS until getting closer to the ground) helps one appreciate how important it is to learn the full performance range of whatever you jump. BTW, I am jumping a PD Silhouette 230 now at about 1-1. Best all-around parachute ever. Openings, flight, turns, sinking, landings, etc.
