Narva is an interesting city located at the border between Estonia and Russia (which means it is also the border between Russia and the EU + NATO). What makes this border so special is the presence of two historical castles on both sides, and you can directly see people at the other side when they climb the towers of the castle. Not far from Narva, the town of Sillamäe is also interesting to discover because it used to be a closed city during the Soviet Union. On top of that, we visited the city of Tartu, which is located around 2 hours south of Narva. This Estonian-speaking city is famous for its university and historical and charming old town.
