Agree as well. :) BIG JERMS! enjoy watching your videos after a long day at work. Just great energy and real humble all around. I’ll have a cold BEER with you my guy!
new subscriber here. Got here from the garage insulation video, and I noticed the pressure washer setup in the background. I immediately knew exactly what type of guy you were. great videos, keep it up!
I use Perl diluted 1:1 in a 500ml Carpro bottle with the same applicator you’re using. Looks great for a long time & it’s economical. I’ll stick with perl. Thanks for your thoughts. 👍🏼
I am currently using Optimum Tire Gel, about $38.00 per gallon. I have used Carpro Perl, cost about $35.00 per liter. I believe I prefer the Optimum over Perl, plus a better price. It's all about the bang for the buck.
@Warp 9.9 adams own b&b...b&b formulates products for many companies. matts new drying aid comes from b&b too... that drying aid is the same product as xtreme solutions "topper"...
You've got to love this channel! Jeremy rocks! Thanks for another great video! I haven't tried OG TD yet! I like that it's simple as well... just like His Drying Aid... no bs, it simply reads "Drying Aid"! Matt is a no bs kind of guy. The tires look good with that dressing on them. I'll probably end up with a gallon. Have a nice weekend.
Man I am with you on some of these product labels. Sometimes companies do too much, and you if you got multiple products from the same company, it’s gonna take some searching to do to find your product! I love a spray-on tire dressing. This one looks great and reminds me of my favorite one, Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing. Give that one a shot man. You’d love it!
Agreed, haven’t used OG. Adam’s Graphene checks every box. One added box most dont do….after cleaning my tires they come clean, but the reapplication of Adam’s looks the same and wears the same as when I strip my tires with mineral spirits and start clean.
I bought this product thinking it would be the best since Matt hyped it up to be better than carpro perl and because it was $40!! For a 32oz bottle. I was okay paying the premium price expecting it to be an outstanding product but I was heavily disappointed. It does smell good and I like the sprayer also but it does NOT last long, in my real life testing it doesn't withstand rain either as it was advertised. The product is definitely mediocre considering that it is one of, if not the most expensive tire dressing on the market. Specially if you do detailing professionally, this product will only hurt your revenue. Perhaps only for enthusiasts who don't mind spending a lot of money.. It is not a bad product but it is not great at all. I realized people only try to avoid telling the truth about it out of respect for Matt but at the same time, I don't agree the consumer should be I'll informed. Thank you for doing this review as it proves it's not great but just okay.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I use it pretty regularly and it works pretty good. I generally use Perl, VRP and now I have this up there to use too. Now when I walk up to the shelf I stop for a second and think “which one do I want to use today” I pick this one and Perl the most. I do like the smell. I know it’s not a tire dressing thing to smell good but it makes me happy. My thought on all these products is if you have something you like and are happy stay with it. Thanks for watching
I see, makes sense. Yea the point I was making is that $40 for a 32oz bottle doesn't justify how it performs, since many other dressings will do the same for a lot less. Specially if your doing detailing professionally as a business and your goal is to be more profitable. You should try Meguiers Hyper dressing in the future, it performs the same, it's cheaper by the oz, can be diluted up to 4:1, and can be used on plastic trim, vinyl not just tires.
@@HawaiiDetailing Matt has jumped on the gravy train(smart business), rebranded and added some scent and their own label. I'm sure it's "OG OB" dialed in spec...but it'll cost ya. Gott fund those $10K Dry Ice Blasters...😀
Nice video. I am experimenting with finding the tire dressing that works best for me. Purchased the OG tire dressing and used it for the second time on my Tesla model Y. It was a wet week in NY and while this dressing is nor designed to last for weeks, it did last the week and after a wash the tires looked great. It seemed like the next application was pre-primed and the dressing went on easier.
The only thing variable that gets me is different tire brands have slightly different rubber compounds in them. Some tires look drastically different when u apply dressing to them vs others. But good review man!
I used meguiar endurance. Good product. I like carpro perl diluted 1.1. Love it. OG stuff is way overpriced just like AmmoNYC. They must have some gold in them.
Thanks for the video.. I watched Matt showcase this product when he started selling it.. I have been using P&S Shine all.. if you are considering tooling around at 140MPH the only thing that will be shining are the POPO lights.🤣🤣.. Stay safe!
There’s so many good tire dressings. I really flip-flopped this summer about giving Feynlab black velvet a try, but I stayed with VRP The problem in today’s detail scene is that there is a lot of copying, and to stand out you really have to set a benchmark that can’t be easily replicated. This dressing doesn’t do that. For people that trust Matt’s opinion - it’s a great product. Matt has been capable of looking at the market and synthesizing a top of the line product; he passes that cost onto the rest of us. Is the ultimate argument cost for value or is it trusting a persons opinion on the internet? Idk.
Yeah it’s a maze out there. I like a variety of good products to play with. This is a good dressing. I still use Perl and VRP too. This will stay and I will use it. So far so good. Thanks for watching
No. Not at all. I have used it quite a bit before I put it on the channel and am happy with it. It’s a good option and nice to have some variety on the shelf. Thanks for watching
If you have something that you are happy with then stick with it. If you don't and or want some variety this is a good product. I have been enjoying it.
@@HawaiiDetailing think I’m going to purchase the 8 oz I have a 1gallon of VRP still keep the video coming great channel I’m watching all the way from the east coast!!!!
Great video! Quick question how do you like the defender Ltx on your truck I’ve been trying to find a tire to put on my truck and been interested in those tires just wanted to know what you think about them?
Looks pretty good but shipping costs to Canada are crazy and cannot seem to find it at any Canadian detail supply retailers. So I’ll stick with my adams graphene tire dressing.
Perl is a great product. No need to switch. If you like trying new stuff it’s worth a try. Also no need to fix what isn’t broke. Lol. Thanks for watching.
Can never beat PERL. I bough PERL last year. The 500ML one. I have 5 cars at home. Till now, the bottle still lasts. Because i dilute it. Best to dilute with distilled water. It cling and last long.
@@gorden5819 nope. Once a month. I wash my car twice a month. Sometimes the perl stick so good i just left it after wash. It gaves me a feeling of a natural showroom car tyre
"140mph...just kidding..." No you aren't 🤣 Love the channel. Sorry to say, but at $20 for 8oz, that's a pass. Unless I have the price wrong. Looks to be good stuff tho'. The question I have is it that much better that it justifies the price premium? Or am I subsidizing another 911 for OG?
Hahahaha. I understand. I bought it to try it out and it’s a nice product. I enjoy using it. If you are looking for some variety on your shelf give it a try. If you have a solid solution stick with it. Thanks for watching the channel.
It sucks. I wouldn't buy medicine from OG at a pharmacy if that was the last choice I had. The dude is obnoxious, arrogant and full of himself. He is also very wrong on most things
I would spray onto a applicator and wipe on. Would be all over the place if you just sprayed it to the tire. On a large truck tire might work out spraying?? Thanks for watching.
