Yeah, almost anyone can do a braid but goddamn it’s so difficult with hair that just. refuses to cooperate lol

It’s bc she has like pin straight hair and it’s not oiled. I try to braid my hair and it never works because I don’t oil it and it’s straight.

Girl you just took my words-

Because oiling hair was common. And indians tend to have coarse hair which creates proper friction to hold the braid tight.

Yup I just start with a half up half down, braid that and the further down I go the more hair I incorporate until I get to the nape of my neck (all the hair will be incorporated into the braid at this point) and just proceed with a regular braid like in this video. So basically it’s kind of like a french braid but it starts just above my ears. Edit: oh okay I think I just said exactly what you said but explained differently 😂 love that for us

I have very layered hair, so I can only do French braids. A regular braid has sticky outty ends everywhere.
