There are growing calls for a diplomatic solution to end days of destructive conflict across the Israel-Lebanon border. United States President Joe Biden said it was time for a cease-fire, after Israel killled the head of the Hezbollah militant group Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike. Today Israel claimed it had taken out another senior Hezbollah figure considered the possible next leader. Many civilians have been forced from their homes, with the United Nations preparing to feed up to a million affected people.

The Lebanese want their country back and they’re fed up with Hezbollah it is time for the Palestinians to grow up. Either leave Lebanon or peacefully integrate into Lebanese society

Cease fire? Anyone remember Resolution 1701, “adopted Aug. 11, 2006, demands a complete cessation of hostilities between Lebanon and Israel and establishes a zone free of armed personnel and weapons, except for the Lebanese army and UNIFIL forces” Hezbollah moved right back in and started shooting missiles.

True, but even a more practical question ceasefire with whom? Who will be on the other side? Lebanon is not a state, it doesn't have control over its territory. So, ceasefire and talks with Hezbollah and Iran? After they've proved time and time again they have no interest to implement what was signed?
