I am primary DNB obg (3yrs), I passed my final exam in my first attempt... I am not a topper and I worked very hard in the govt institute throughout my tenure... I have done >500 lscs in my residency only, including 4th lscs... Try choosing a hospital with good work load and preferably govt institute... U have to study on your own most of the time and while seeing patients... The patient teaches u, when u are managing them... DNB is do-able, when u want to give your best...
Great to hear this ! Happy to know that you were able to 'Learn on the job'. now that you are a degree holder, attend conferences and take classes for juniors. that way your academics become stronger... which is a good adjunct to surgical skills. Best wishes!
Boss I am getting anaesthesia in a best college of my state and i may get obg in a peripheral average college of my state. I never thought of obg just liked the work in intern postings. I was a hardcore medicine person but can't get it on my rank. Now I am getting quite sceptical that whether choosing obg is a wrong decision for me

Understand the work not degree as even a BAMS BUMS homeopathy too practice as gynaecologist because it is ever demanding....there are many obg people but there are few good obg in a city with pure surgical skills...so focus on surgical skills... Ps~ where i will get patients??ans~see the indian population😁

Its just as good! SOme of my DNB students are now professors in Govt institutes. DNB is an excellent alternative. its now having more structured teaching and a central exam called 'Formative assessment test' every year.. which is not there even in MD !

There is a recognized FNB course in fetal medicine. many of my PG students have done the FNB n Fetal medicine and even High risk Obstetrics FNB after DNB.

@@drprassan Sir is DGO still there or all DGO seats have been converted to MS/MD seats? Sir I am an FMG from China and you had come to our college to teach us OBGYN.Sir I am not confident if I can even manage a md seat being an fmg,that too with the recent obc quota rule.only 35.5% seats left for us sir .
attempts at PG entrance are counted only when you sit the exam... so if you take 2-3 years after internship, for whatever reason, to write the exam then its not an attempt till you sit the exam.
