Thanks for the walkthrough, Chris! We haven't been to the OC Fair for a few years, hopefully we can go this year. Those Australian potatoes are calling us! lol
one of my favorite OC fair memories was going to see Weezer at the Pacific Amphitheater. Nothing like getting to enjoy the fair during the day and getting to see your favorite musicians afterwards. Highly recommend people checkout the concert calendar for the fair.
Thanks for the tour Chris! I used to go to this as well as the classic car show they have their with my father. But now he can't walk as well so it's nice to be able to see it. Although it sure has gotten pricey post Covid, lol! I'll show the video to him. Thanks!
It's time for the OC Fair already??? I promised myself I would make it this year. I guess I'll have to make it next year. Your OC Fair videos from last year are some of my favorites you've posted in this channel.
I made fried snickers and Oreos awhile ago, super good but super sweet lol Gotta be careful with my sugar intake. It doesn’t hurt to have a treat once in awhile right? Thanks for sharing! Great video ✨
The fair looks awesome! I'm amazed about how many food items there are made with flaming hot Cheetos. The fair would be awesome to check out, but it won't be going on when I head to San Diego later in August. Oh well! There will be plenty of things to see and do in San Diego though!
Thank you for making this! We went opening day, and the captain cruch sandwich and flaming cheetos corn dog would have been great if cooked properly. Sandwich tasted good, but was chewy and seemed stale, and corndog didnt seemed cooked enough.
It’s fun to see pretty much THE EXACT SAME vendors and rides we just saw down here in Del Mar at the SD Fair (I do notice your fairgrounds are a bit smaller than the exhibit buildings we have down here at the Racetrack grounds…still, very cool!)…Curious, does the OC Fair have a theme every year? (We had a Superhero’s theme this year with a themed building with Marvel Character Photo ops)
Lol how could you possibly miss the 10 different Ice Cream stands? I was there and right when you were next to them, next location. Lol Those Old Fashioned Dipped Bars are my fave or wait, maybe the Rootbeer Floats or Chocolate Malts or..... And you never mentioned one of the staples of the OC Fair, the Pig Races.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the great walking tour. Your timing was perfect because I got to really enjoy the fair grounds without the big crows. I'm pretty sure that will change. So many food options, it's hard to choose which I like best. If I was there, I probably would try all the BBQ places. Take care and have a great weekend.
Those reusable heating pads seem to be a old and forgotten technology. My mother used to buy them for us kids so we could stay warm while waiting for the school bus in winter back in the late 80s and early 90s. Ours were just plain clear and a bit more utilitarian looking. I haven't seen them in a long time though. Also not sure why someone would sell them in Southern California. I think they are getting too hot to put them in a wet suit for surfing in cold water. **chuckle**
Thank you for such a great review ! Our family is super excited to go this week! Important question - How is the bathroom situation?? Porta potties ? Or actual restrooms ??? Thanks in advance !
What really impress me about fairs is each year drink prices increase every year. My local fairs this year the cost for 8 Oz of Lemonade was 12 dollars, 8 Oz for bottled water (that was clearly bought from my local wegmans as it still had the wegmans wrapper on it) 8 dollars, small cup of coffee 10 dollars, Iced tea 11 dollars. The prices for the drinks literally cost more than the tickets to enter the fair grounds. My opinion fuck my local fairs fuck their price gouging. 2023 Is the year I'm never going to another fair for the rest of my life the prices these food venders are selling drinks at is outrageous some of them are selling bottles of water that it cost them 25 cent to buy for more money than their actually meals that literally a 3200% price mark up.
Hello Chris ! Just wanted to thank you ,Ive organised my trip to CA , NV and AZ thanks to your channel and we had such a wonderful time ! ... to be honest I considering unsubscribing (jk)... cause I almost want to cry each time I see California !!! Coca Cola bottle ring toss , 1 won once a 6ft stuffed llama animal 🦙 , the trick is keep the ring flat like a donut 🍩 between your index and thumb , raise your hand liek your about to give a curled finger and shake & you jerk your wrist to the right letting go of ring making it stay spinning in air same position till it lands perfectly on the neck of the bottle lol fyi it’s a perfect tight fit.
