@@silverrubymoon3574 I was mystified as to why there are unnecessary gaps between each timestamp, and was wondering if you simply copy/pasted the OST track list from somewhere.
@@MrAquilina420 - Not at all. I tried to possibly gave them gaps between the times because I wanted them to be separate from the other tracks that could interfere if possible
Most go way over the top remaking this soundtrack, weird instruments that feel out of place in a zelda game, too much reverb ( god way too much reverb) but this works. waiting on that one update to the Ship, the raytracing and render98 mods and i may use your soundtrack for my playthrough
I'm guessing this was made by importing the midi data from the game's song files into a DAW, and used a higher quality sample library than the N64 had? Which is honestly the best way to do it because even though the samples are different, it still feels "right". If I'm wrong though, and you did all the midi arrangements yourself, then it's amazingly accurate to the original, and super impressive.
Please, can you tell me what percussions you are using for the potion shop theme? Other covers use a pot drum, but I think that sounds nothing like it, I tried Darbuka and Tabla but I am not shure, but your version is on point! It even has that double strike/ flam sound like the original!
Nice try, but I feel the tracks are too loud - bordering on distortion. And the mixing is tone deaf, as there are no dynamics. Every instrument competes for loudness.
First, thank you for your input and sorry to hear you do not like it. Second, I have been reviewing the video, not once do i hear any sort of distortion, upon which i have to ask with wich audio device did you listen through those. I always double check the audio to see if it's in an acceptable state. Third, even today i'm still learning how to properly mix. I constantly maintain low processing to let the music breathe, as opposed to the vast majority of remake that DOES have every instruments on full blast.
I’m using iPhone speakers, and can sense when the audio is clipping (as a rebuttal to distortion). Tbh I’ve not heard the 3DS version, if that’s what you’re referring to. Maybe what I’m hearing sounds rather clinical in comparison to the warmth of the original ost. It’s a fine effort tho. @@AdelAlmas I can kinda hear what he's talking about. For example, the Forest Temple theme: the chanting at around 52:20 sounds very bad. I'm listening on headphones and I can tell there's some distortion.
