Richard Huzzey, From the Resolution we can divide it into its part for debate, pricing, writing into bills and voted on as legislation. These parts include transitioning to renewables, high insulation renovations, Medicare for All, free education, new infrastructure etc

Why are the smearing her because Republicans are scared of their billionaire fossil fuel donors. A renewably powered US would actually be cheaper than business as usual. Medicare for All would be cheaper than the present for profit system.
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW Its not even a bill or legislation, Its called a House Resolution. The substance of the resolution can be anything that can normally be proposed as a motion. For long or important motions, though, it is often better to have them written out so that discussion is easier or so that it can be distributed outside the body after its adoption. These people don't get the games that they play in Congress.

93 trillion dollars is nothing compared to an extinction lvl event that is all but inevitable at the current rates of fossil fuel burning. Complaints about how much the survival of the human race costs are irrelevant to reality.
A horse, an armadillo, or even a jackyl allowed to vote its own mind would be better than AOC. Chances of it voting the right way through dumb luck maybe half the time would be a whole lot better than never.

Explanation? This is all Mitch McConnell playing a game. He'll bring the Green New Deal up for a vote just to see how many people will vote on it, but not HR1 or HR8? He's even said in public that this vote is simply to get people on record. What would be accomplished by doing that? Republicans should be trying to accomplish something, not holding votes just to mock Democrats.

If they don't, than AOC can see how unpopular it is and either try to win people over, rewrite it so it will be better received or scrap it altogether. She doesn't even want a vote held. If there's a vote, it should be serious like that vote to cancel out Trump's national emergency declaration. There was discussion and both parties in the Senate were serious about doing something, and so they voted on a bill. This is how it should be with the Green New Deal. It shouldn't just be to get people on record. The first vote on it should be about trying to pass it, trying to accomplish something, but McConnell made it clear that this was just about getting people on record. Nothing more. Okay, you'd have people on record. Now what? They haven't done anything, except waste time and taxpayer money. They can all talk about this without mocking something to address climate change.

I'm sure she would be fine if they would just vote. What they don't want is the discussion. The House won't openly honestly discuss it. The Senate will. In doing so they will demonstrate how infantile the whole thing is. They will reveal it for the sham it is. It is a good thing for the people.
