Ben Shapiro breaks down Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's cringe-inducing interview delving into her economic plan. Listen to this episode of The Ben Shapiro Show on iTunes: apple.co/2rfIg9K
It's not that she won't, it's that she CAN'T. As a mouthpiece for the Democratic-Socialists, she has no thoughts of her own. She spews what they have coached her to say.
The funny thing is you predicted the future, there are liberals that are actually arguing 2 + 2 = 5 now, and you and you probably made it as a joke but they're actually doing it now 🤣🤣🤣
Even Ben admitted she is a good politician, don’t understand why the right is so obsessed with her. Right wing activists tried to smear her by putting out a video of her dancing in college, it totally backfired on them the video only made her more cool. 😎
@@Buluga06 actuly there's some pretty convincing evidence that the videos in question were in fact put out by the left just to get the right riled up.. Problem being nobody really took the bait, she's such a complete nitwit everyone was like... yeah, ok that makes sense. I mean come on, she thinks she's Jenny from the block. Of course the relentless hack made a music video.
@Caramel Vanilla I thought giving free money to the rich helps our economy, like fox business says with people like stefan molyneux (lol he is living proof that a posh english accent does not equate to intelligence)
@Caramel Vanilla I thought it was to individuals after 10 million in the year earned then 70% also your legit the first person i've ever seen mention any policy substance in these comments
It'a all a distraction. The whole world has been incorporated. We are in a war between good and evil. The people calling the shots use politics to divide and conquer.
It's about time the Democrats went the socialist route especially when you look at how successful it has been in north Europe which follows policy very similar to what Cortez wants. That neoliberal shill for the rich Hillary failed and is just a fake leftist.
He has to be further down than that for me. There's Mary, the Apostles, and St. Theresia Benedict, and the like. Definitely top 50, though. Well, Moses.
@KingKokos That is a stupid statement. Even if you are an atheist you cannot deny that Jesus existed. There are actual historical records outside of the bible that prove the existence and life of Catholic saints. The chances of Jesus being fake is lower than the chances of Julius Caesar or Alexander the Great being fake
@Nechryael well, yes. Jesus existed but Moses? not so much. and neither did Abraham. and definitely no evidence of Noah. the Bible and all rest of the holy books are obviously made up to a large extent. Ancient people always liked making their kings of emperors become these almost God like beings. religious preachers preach and glorify a lot.
I remember some school teacher friends I had in the 80s tell me that it was OK to lie to students as long as it furthered the agenda. At the time I argued that if you have to lie about a subject to make it look good, then you might need to look at the opposing options closer. I haven't heard from any of them to this day.
Our nation has accepted delusion and insanity for so long that even immorality is not only accepted and celebrated, it is common place. Very tough times ahead for this country I predict.
Because he specializes in making leftist cringe compilations by debating unprepared kids half his age. That is far more lucrative for him and is a much lower intellectual challenge. Also if he were to lose a political run it would severely delegitimize his credibility as a political commentator, and prepubescent robots like him wouldn't have the balls to risk something like that.
@multiskillage Nonsense. Ben has offered to debate a bunch of established adults, including AOC, and she turned him down. Candice Owens also challenged AOC to a debate and AOC chickened out on that one as well. And don't forget Ben crushed Piers Morgan on live tv, and the classic You Tube clip of him wiping the floor with the Black Lives Matter people. Obviously there's a ton of evidence of Ben more than holding his own in any debate. Your comment attacking Ben is ridiculously ill informed to say the least!
I'm not sure who's crazier, this chick or Pelois lol..I hope they all run for President against Donald Trump! LMAO It will be the best show on Earth! TRUMP 2020!
This Username Was Taken so I Went With this One happens all the time because biblical events have been proven true. In Acts 28 when Paul’s ship wrecked on Malta in the Mediterranean they tossed out 4 anchors and we found all 4 of them
@@zachshort2889 wow, no we don't. No atheist in their right mind would even consider the Bible for anything. It's a book of fairy tales. Jesus was never even worshiped as god until Constantine forced everybody to. Original Christianity was a worship of the sun. The story of Jesus is merely a personification of the sun, constellations, etc. For example, Jesus died and rose from the dead after 3 days. This symbolizes the sun being at its lowest point in the sky for the winter solstice (December 21). Then the sun stays at that low point for 3 days until it starts rising again on December 25th (supposedly Jesus' birthday), but this resurrection isn't celebrated until Easter (spring equinox) which is when the days officially start becoming longer than nights. And during the 3 day low period of the sun, it sits in the middle of the lower cross (crux) constellation. Which is why Jesus supposedly dies on the cross. Because the sun "dies" at its lowest point, on the crux constellation. Oh and how Jesus was born and the 3 kings followed the star in the east (Sirius)? Three stars in orions belt follow the star in the east. What are those three stars called? The three kings. I can keep going. Do some research before you believe in the nonsense of religion.
The crazy thing is. She truly deep down believes the shit that she is saying. That is the dangerous part she is so closed minded on her socialist agenda.
thearmoredfatboy you are right but socialism is nothing to fear, we have had socialist policies like Medicare, Medicaid, social security for decades. Those turned out to be popular programs, so America has proven it can do socialism better.
Somehow, the snowflake generation ( apologies as I don't know what pronoun to use ), when attempting to sound "intellectual" turn on that scratchy vocal fry voice. Sounds like she's trying to mimic Jessica Tarlov. Regardless, this woman is a gift to the Republican party.
Alan F Democrats initially laughed at trump now he haunts their dreams and makes them see red. (Politics and opinion of trump aside) they mocked and now they rage over him, we shouldn’t make the same mistake
Lord Immortallix, so you are gonna disqualify her as a legitimate member of congress because she has a roundhouse-able face, thats sexist, you putting her down because of her looks haha what a very sexist and superficial comment. If she has a "roundhouse-able face" then what about all the other male congress members, many I would say have a "slapp-able face".
Facts don't care about your feelings either it's just like when your tell your child they're not old enough to drive I don't care about that back if they want to go out and drive and get behind the wheel and do it unless you have control and discipline might be a bad explanation of it but you get the idea the facts and the law come before your feelings
Whoa. She is off the meds.. . and wow. You were extremely eloquent articulating the *fact framework of reality. To me, she sounds like a drone of HRC. -"What difference does it (the truth) make anyway?" Im sure all recall.
When studying anthropology, i was taught that in research (and this was in reference to the studies of Margaret Mead) it is acceptable for an anthropologist to lie if the anthropologist believes it is in the best interests of the people being studied. I believe that this same deceitful attitude applies to other sciences if the individual thinks that is the right thing to do. This seems to be what AOC applies to her thinking - its OK to lie if it suits her purpose.
The significance of the fact that she is a fairly recent graduate of Boston University--a semi-prestigious institution--in international relations, with a minor in economics, should be lost on no one. The contemporary American academy, in the humanities and social sciences, is an unclothed emperor, pleasuring itself on its throne, while its subjects busy themselves so as not to notice.
Just absurd, this mindset is so dangerous. It's justification for throwing an innocent man in jail after a false accusation of sexual assault. "Whether or not it's factually correct, morally it's right to believe the victim!" And just the ambiguity of "morally correct" is dangerous as well. Same logic terrorist used to fly planes into towers. "God has told me that this is just and that this is my purpose so I am morally justified to do this!"
She didn't lie. She made a mistake about the amount, but she didn't lie about the FACT that congress increased military spending even though the Pentagon didn't even ask for it.
OK, this is a really short video, and so I took the time to watch it four times. I first heard what Schapiro says about Anderson Cooper‘s reaction to Ocasio-Cortez and what she is saying. In his words “Anderson Cooper almost vomited in her lap.” So what I expected was an almost apoplectic reaction on the part of Anderson Cooper. As anyone can see, that does not happen. In addition, Ocasio-Cortez does not say that lying is all right, she specifically says that it is not. I am not saying that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is always morally upright and logical, nor that she never lies, distorts, etc. , nor am I saying that I would excuse it if I discovered that she did. I’m simply pointing out that Shapiro utterly and completely distorts the content of this portion of the interview between Ocasio-Cortez and Cooper. His description of it does not match what we see and hear. It’s like he’s talking about some other conversation, and his producer crossed him up by inserting the wrong excerpt. So, ironically, what we learned from this three minute segment of Schapiro’s show is that Shapiro has trouble with the truth.
This video popped up on my page and I clicked out of interest, because he is well known and is often suggested. The title and description seem salacious and inflammatory, but bear no relation to what I watched. I honestly could not be offended. What is said in the interview by the politician is so misrepresented that it seems there is something weird going on his head. He seems a pipsqueak economist that wasted his college effort on microeconomics :-)
Wow! Boston University must be proud of what they taught her to think? Regurgitate? Sloganize? They really helped the world out by developing a critical thinker....
It’s definitely important to be factually right as well as morally right. But it’s more important for someone to believe murder is wrong than it is for them to state accurate statistics about murder. If I had to choose between a politician who was spot on about the murder rate, but thought murder was okay OR a politician who got their facts about murder wrong (even deliberately) but thought murder was evil; then I’d choose the latter politician everytime. Factual truth is very important, but not as important as moral truth. However there’s no reason why politicians can be both factually and morally true at the same time. So if she advocates lying, then I take issue with that. But if she’s saying moral truth is the most important thing, then I agree with her.
This is a huge strawman tbh. She is saying that getting something wrong / making a mistake (her point was about blunders she made) isn't as bad as being moral wrong/doing something bad intentionally.
Her election and gibberish was a done deal as soon as the 2006 double-fencing provision lapsed without 96 percent of the work being done and the subsequent 3 administrations and twice as many congresses ruling in the meantime. Free societies reap what they sow for policy, policy-makers, and electorates.
I went to the most activist university in my country for an extemporaneous speech contest, and it was also a leadership training. There was this guy who had a huge open forum about how the internet should be a safe space for self-expression. Heck, he thinks criticism and judgment are the same thing and finds both offensive to people. Even the smallest form of criticism is apparently offensive to creators who post things on the internet. I couldn't help but think "If it's unreasonable then ignore it, you're fucking over twenty, grow the hell up. If it makes any rational sense, and it's something you can improve, then improve it." He also told us that it isn't the woman's fault that she's getting raped because she's wearing something slutty. While I agree to an extent, because a guy should control his damn hormones, the woman still has to do her part if she wants to avoid it. They told me to write up any sort of quote and I decided on "Facts don't care about your feelings" to trigger all the liberals in that school. I'm all up for self-expression but there's a place and time for everything. Oh yeah, the word 'leftist' triggers these leftists. A horrid day, honestly. Worst part was that he was talking shit about my school which was on the map for having conservative values when it comes to clothing of all things, and I couldn't argue against his earlier points because then our school would be on the map again. A majority of our male college students are gay, but like I said, there's a time and place for self-expression. I'm fourteen, and because of this opinion, people hate me. Oh well, trolling the school the entire time was still fun.
Politicians aren’t interested in the truth, especially the radical leftists. Jonathan Haidt was on Joe Rogans Rogans podcast today and they hit on this subject. Here’s a link if you’re interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7j57204BDL4.html So maybe in the sense of being willfully ignorant to your constituents, it is immoral.
@@sliptacked9801 NO... Socialism/ Communism in a nutshell... They care neither for the individual nor the masses... To them what matters is forcing their agenda upon the masses... What they "feel" is right in spite of what is morally right... Morally- speaking we need to care for one- another; for when we take of one- another morally, socially, and yea " religiously" in the end we take care of ourselves... Whereas in comparison the Communist ideology will take their 'feelings' of what they want/ need to accomplish their agenda and will sacrifice the Individual in order to press their chains upon the masses... Morals are like standards that keep us in check evincing a sense of knowing right and wrong and obligations to one another and society as a whole. If our decisions and actions are based only upon feelings as societal standards it all goes to hell quickly. This is the standard they want you to work with " If it feels good do it". It's not about religion either...religion or religious standards. are principles meant to guide and maintain the life of the individual and the greatest good, not control everyone... Feelings and thoughts.are like waves rising and falling.... If.the foundations be destroyed who can stand? If I feel my concepts are more important than yours then I abandon you without a care and leave you to the wolves...including religions or governments then I do both you and myself wrong...we both suffer... This is done repeatedly, daily, exponentially cause no one gives a Damn... Morals are not outdated they are despised and rejected.... Look at society these days- it speaks for itself...
@Blake Hunt which is fair enough. However, it's worth mentioning that the higher top marginal rates were also from times in which deductions and exceptions were more powerful. Reagan, presiding over the second major top marginal income tax rate reduction and derided for it, actually worked to close loopholes and weaken deductions. The effective tax rates between the FDR/Truman/Eisenhower/JFK and Reagan until 2017 weren't too different.
@Blake Hunt most of the gain in CEO compensation is due to stocks options. We can achieve better and more targeted results if we separate that from income tax and revamp capital gains taxes to tax the transaction/gain of the stocks alongside their sale.
For example, she could say the majority of the country is working 2 jobs to put food on the table so it is incumbent on the country to ensure there are enough social safety nets such that people don't fall into devastating economic conditions. The premise is factually incorrect (the percentage of people working 2 jobs is fairly low), but it is still millions of people and saying we should help fix that is a morally right statement. This is just a hypothetical example that answers your question
@@multiskillage except that the way she is suggesting we fix unemployment (which is already being improved) is ineffective. And if we listen to her suggestion, unemployment numbers will reverse direction and rise, which would make her suggestion morally wrong. This is why being factually correct is a PREREQUISITE for being morally right.
@@multiskillage i mean if your facts are wrong then i dont give a fuck if you are morally right or wrong cause if what you are saying is not reality and its just fantasy then you are just virtue signaling and what you are saying is false and a waste of time now if ocasio cortez focuses more on facts like there are many americans that dont have jobs or the fact that america exploits the third world then we have something to talk until then its just so easy for the right to troll her stupidity
I find it very odd that this is both the slogan of Ben Shapiro and of his followers. The truth is that almost all of his follower are more into "feelings don't care about your facts" than "facts don't care about your feelings". They do not buy into Shapiro's statements because the statements are facts, but because they make the audience feel good. They feel good when they think they understand things that are actually quite difficult to get a grasp of, and Shapiro presents difficult stuff in such an easy way that it negates all the factors that complicates it. If the audience actually did care about facts, they would check for themselves, and see that not only is Ben Shapiro very often wrong, but that he is also very often deliberately disingeniuous, as in reporting statistics that present a case in a good/bad way whilst negating the statistics that show the other side of the story. This is because people like to think they are right, and also like to think that they are better than other people. Hence, the truth is, that most followers of Shapiro think they like him because of the facts he presents, but it is more much more because of how he makes them feel. People do not like to be wrong, it takes courage to admit, and most people are not that courageous. And most of his audience is, just like the majority of the rest of right-leaning people, ignorant about this. Shapiro, however, knows exactly what he is doing, and is doing so deliberately because it suits his agenda, which is to gain more supporters in order to get more money/power/fame/unameit. This is also true for Charlie Kirk, Steven Crowder etc - they all want to keep you ignorant so that you can keep giving them views, likes and support, which serves them and their puppetmasters interests.
Don't be ashamed of the others in your generation be who you are and don't let their stupidity ,immorality fester into the open wound that this womans mouth has become I was a conservative in the 60's and 70 ' s stay who you are be proud of yourself and your country Remember you only look at yourself in the mirror
I'm from Venezuela and I'm 18years old, it's scary how many people of my age seems to want socialism. It's really scary for me, however I stand with my beliefs and I try to say my points of views respectfully. I'm not ashamed, I know they're brainwashed and can't think for themselves or they're afraid to change their thoughts and realize they were in the wrong side all this time. I still hold hope tho.
Dylan Linke Never has , never will , Aoc , hello u puppet . A prime example of the indoctrination of the minds of America by leftist education system through public schools & universities.by the way , the so called "elitists" as we are called , aka the producers, pay for this . Cut funding to schools that promote this leftist ideology & see what happens. They want a nation of beggars and surfs . Then how will u phony pandering hypocrites support your lives ? You won't have to , you have what you have always wanted, A nation of slavery. This is an historical fact with democrats. Do some homework people & WAKE THE FUCK UP ! The left hates America & Americans so much they would rather see our republic destroyed than admit their wrong . That my friend is FACT !
There are maniacal serial killers with poker faces and inscrutable eyes. In fact, their unemotional eyes is one factor that lulls their victims to sleep. Counting on eyes that way can get you killed.
She’s just a product of the leftist make-believe educational system that we have here in the US. Can’t really fault her for that. And she’s never worked a real job so she doesn’t have a reference point of how things really work.
You may as well read "ATLAS SHRUGGED" a monumental work of philosophy HUMANS really need and that is the ONLY thing that actually MATTERS in the world.
Yes Ben. You stumbled on a simple truth. Evil people usually hate the truth. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. John 3:20.
You 2 fucking schmoes attended Trump University...which was a fraud...he paid $25 million to settle "great businessman"...You should proudly start wearing your red MAGA hats....are they impact resistant?
No dude that's not accurtate. I just searched that on wikipedia . She recieved 100,044 votes out of 128,339 .The population of the district is 700 thousands but I am not sure how many are registerd voters.
Anti-intellectualism, in my opinion, is festering beyond just political parties. I do not see it as a purely Democrat or Republican issue, but an issue of our era. Two things I see that worry me is; Cherry picking, and blatant lies. Our own egos and beliefs often cloud the truth. I worry this can lead to a darker misinformed people.

True. It is what ruined Eastern Europe and Asia. Where saving face is more important than learning. Men who's number 1 goal is not feel like the person next to him is more intelligent. I think this is why anti-Jewish sentiment is rearing its head again. Then pro-Marxist ideas... Then killing/jailing intellectuals. Then creating new social norms including language so as to make it easier to find "traditionalists" or "non-conformists" and punish them by mob rule. They will make everyone equal, equally poor. This is what is going on in South Africa. When did we not teach our kids to respect people with high IQ and hard working rich business owners? That will be the downfall of USA. We will become russia or ukraine where the average income is $2,200 per YEAR and abortion is the number 1 form of birth control!
Forget about forgiving her student loan debt. Boston University owes her a refund. She can't even start her statement with the proper subject/verb agreement. There is a lot of people?
Marty Fenton wow! You’re a massive intellect...it’s obvious the way you waste your time trying to bolster the position of someone who speaks with less precision than any normal 4 year old... congratulations!
