So glad I found your channel I relate to what you say a lot. I am a girl and nobody noticed I am autistic until I was 20 and there is very little representation so it's nice to see someone similar to me

I completely agree with what you've said. I might be wrong but I do think that people with severe mental illnesses were included for priority vaccination here in the UK at least for the 1st and 2nd doses and possibly even the boosters, as that was the rationale that my therapist used to persuade my GP to give my the vaccine earlier than I otherwise would have done. Despite that I still had to battle with them for my second dose and booster! I think the way that mental health has been used by people who ordinarily never think about it or show any care regarding it, to justify not putting basic measures in place to fight the virus, is nauseating, made even worse by the fact that there is virtually zero coverage by those people or the media in general about those like us, for whom the pandemic has had such a devastating impact on our ability to function. I don't know how and when the pandemic will end. I've lost all trust that either the government or the general population for that matter will do all the basic public health measures that will keep themselves and others safe and radically reduce the number of cases, hospitalisations and deaths, but I do have hope that the scientific and medical community will develop better treatments and/or vaccines so that the health impacts of covid become minimal. For me personally I will only be able to resume ordinary life when the cases are very low and when deaths are reduced to single figures per week or less. It really does make me wish I lived in one of those countries around the world that have managed to keep cases and deaths to very low levels.

I can relate to what you say here completely, it's how I feel about the situation too.

Hopefully the virus will become less dangerous as it evolves. Evolutionarily speaking its not very effecient for a virus to kill off its host. I'm no expert but the omicron variant being more transmissible but with milder symptoms seems to point in that direction.
