defiantly i am 18 and we really are the lucky ones!:) i feel so honoured to have been introduced to ocean colour scene and all other mod bands for that matter when everyone else my age are being brainwashed by the unbelievably shite auto tuned music/media of today and will never be able to appreciate real music.
Someone's beeen listening to 'Who's Next?' But fully justified because this is even better than anything on that mighty Who record and has its utterly original elements. Love that Simon F plays mouth harp on this. Playing harmonica was a very standard skill and practice among lead vocalists in the 60s but somewhere it got lost and Simon is just the bloke to retrieve it.
Thanks megumino2 for putting this lil gem up. You can tell that it came off a VHS. Great tune altogether. 100% inspired upload, OCS are sort of a big deal where I come from. Ireland & I am eternally greatfull !!!
True, which makes it doubly weird as to why Simon started channeling LG a few year later, dressing like him, standing like him on stage, singing with his hands in his back pockets. etc etc. It was awful and bizarre. Like he had some weird inferiority complex about just being himself. Fortunately, it didn't last long and Simon went back to being just himself, which is the person we seriously like and admire and respect.
Right on both counts! Also, bloody fine rhythm section and great guitarist. But there's something about that Fowler lad; he's kinda magnetic on stage without even trying to be.
