My wife went to Flager College and I was stationed in Jacksonville. Met over a homecooked meal at her cousins and have been together 32 years now. St. Augustine is a jewel for sure. Thanks for the video and take care, Al
Welcome to St Augustine!!! We traveled FT for almost 2 years and have just moved back home to St Augustine and came off the road. We stayed at Ocean Grove any time we were back home here for any reason. We actually were in the very same site you were in!! Small world!!
Dam big guy I thought looking at one of your videos that I ran into you were a retired pro ball player, but ran into your video of your last day on the force you fooled me. With all respect bless you your wife and your family on retirement journey and stay safe...
Stayed in a park model last August. It was the best trip to St. Augustine we ever had. The bird watching at the dock was amazing. Found Mary Road beach which is glorious. I would never stay in a hotel again. The pool was tremendous and the people are just phenomenal.
If you aren't already doing advertising voiceovers then imho you should get into it as your voice is one of the most listenable iv'e heard. Love the vid and am now pressing the subscribe and like. Happy trails from England
Hello in England! Thank you for the kind words and we are so happy that you have join us for the ride!! Hope all is well in your area of the world. All the best to ya!
Thanks for the tour of the park! We have stayed up & down the coast over the last 40+ years, but never visited St Augustine! After your video, and now your tour of this park... we made reservations to stay here a few days this coming February before visiting our Daughter, Son-in-law and 5 Grandchildren in Winter Park, Florida... Thanks again for your videos and Safe Travels! John M. Kelly, Greenville, Ohio
I have been following your vlogs from the beginning and must say that I have enjoyed every one! It's always a pleasure to see fellow LEO's enjoying retirement. Keep it up!
I have always enjoyed the both of you in your videos! I hope that your channel grows and grows. The narration is top notch with that southern drawl and the videos target everything a person wonders about. Now just to wait until summer is over to purchase an RV on sale!
Lol welcome to St. Augustine. A lot to see and do. Don’t mess around. St.Johns doesn’t play. Definitely do the ghost 👻 tour. Don’t forget to tip. Definitely look at local flavor.com and get your coupons. George’s diner is a must do. Local spot for breakfast
Wow what an awesome video. The owners take pride in pleasing their guest and I clean the park and greatly appreciate you showing the beauty of the place. Subscribed😉😁
Wow! Awesome video and review of the camp ground. Really nice looking park. My mother and step dad lived in St. Augustine many years ago. Love the area. It's been a while since I was there. Also, great green screen. I thought I was the only Full Timer creator shooting on green screen. I love it. Lots of options. Really love the video. Thanks for sharing!
Hi guys, enjoyed the video. The park looks really nice. Darryl, just wanted to say thanks for your video on changing the oil on your generator. My husband watched it and said it really helped him change our oil! We have a Tiffin Open Road LA model. Safe travels 😊🇺🇸
Thanks, enjoyed and much appreciated your review of this camping site. And, we will consider same during our next trip down south - to escape from our winter's snow, ice and cold weather.
Hope u enjoy St Augustine. Theres a million things to do and tour. U have to check out pizza time on St George st. It was voted 2nd best pizza in the whole country by trip advisor. We look forward to having u back soon. Xoxo
Martha Adams , unfortunately it’s right across the street from the beach. With the exception of Anastasia State Park, Ocean Grove is about the cheapest option 😬
Nice Video. We stayed in a regular site last summer at about half the price and it wasn't as nice as your's but it was level and normal for most campgrounds. The location across A1A from the beach is awesome! We were there looking for a new home base in St. Augustine, having already left our old home base in Las Vegas. We even considered purchasing one of the park homes closer up front.
Hello Health Travelers! Good luck on the hunt for home base. I would love to live in St. Augustine as well. Great City with a beautiful beach. All the best to you guys!
@@TollesonLife Well, have to tell you, that after months looking at St. Augustine homes, we narrowed it to a few. Turned out that if it was in a city (vs. St. John's county), the RV could only be 20' (our's is 25' 5"). Of course, nothing in the county worked. However, (spoiler) we did find a home base just like we wanted a few miles down the coast, just south of Gamble Rogers State Park.
For this 2 month.. i have been wacthing RV, CampersVan.. and i quickly felt in love.. i want experience living with RV.. i have the money but.. in my country indonesia.. its illegal and cannot find one single factory or importir to sell rv, campers van, rig, toy hauler.. because the road.. in here crowded with motorcycle and buses, truck.. and small roads..
Hey y’all! Your videos are very nice.. great quality. Did you change cameras? If so can I ask what camera you are using cause I’d love to get a new camera!!!!
My wife and I enjoy your videos. I am a retired Deputy Sheriff an my wife and I have been looking at class A RV's. Have you been happy with your gas unit? Any limitations? Do wish you had bought a diesel unit? Thanks.
Hey Tom! Glad you made it through and reached retirement my friend. We were happy with the Gas Rv. The only issue we had was getting fuel in a gas rv and Tiffin's fuel fill in the very rear. Our rig was 38 ft long and it was a challenge to compete around automobiles for in fuel lanes with a large class A. With a diesel you would just go where all the 18 wheelers go. Other than that we were very happy with the gas engine. That said, we just traded the Tiffin in for a Grand Design Momentum Toy hauler and purchased an F-350 Dually with the 6.7 powerstoke to pull it. We thought we would try that since we have kayaks, Harleys, paddle board and the like. I'll let you know how we like it in an upcoming video late this week. All the best to you and your wife on your search!
Hi, thanks for the video and tour. I appreciate it, I have to say though I had a hard time keeping the volume up to hear your voice because the music was very distracting and too loud.
Hello Kali! I'm sorry for the sound. What device did you watch the video with? It sounds ok on my Mac and I phone.. Trying to figure out why it might sound different on your end. Thanks!
Thanks so much for the great video. We have thought about making reservations there because my son & family live literally right next door. My concern was the many negative comments on RV park reviews. It looks pretty nice, but did you experience any negatives while staying there. BTW we love your FT Wilderness video so much we have booked a week there next year.
Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, shell beach, Arroyo Grand and even Avila Beach don't have much to offer in the way of entertainment other than the beach. Yes I live in the area and unless I want to spend a lot of cash on things such as the movies its pretty boring here.
Hopefully you get to visit the beaches out this way, the are nice beaches but the water here is cold, and yes you can camp out on the beaches here even in your rig a lot of people do
Hello GEO W. Yes, it a little o the pricey side. I assume its due to the location of St. Augustine (the old city) and the beach. Monthly rates are a little more reasonable I believe.
