Ocean Reef Neptune III Full Face Mask In Depth Review 

Want to take a moment here to applaude this review video. As manufacturers we take the time to look at all review videos we can - most of the time we are bummed by the lack of depth, shallowness and sometimes plain mistakes that some divers make when using our products (and reviewing!), mostly because they do not take the time to read instructions, watch videos, or simply consider that they are doing something wrong. Of course we also take responsibility and consider a priority to design / engineer products that require the least amount of instruction-reading, video-watching as possible and we are conscious we can and we must always raise the bar to reach the highest of expectations - we will not settle and whine about critics. But this video is phenomenal - it gives an honest, personal, review, it doesn't hold back on constructive criticism, it hesitates and honestly considers various points of view when needed... Great in-depth video on the new Neptune III. I just received my Neptune III package (minus the GSM, that comes next) and can't wait to use it! I did ad a swivel to the mask for the quick disconnect and it gave it the distance from the mask which you talked about and it seems to work really well so far, hopefully the same in the water. I'll keep you advised.

Because of this I video and the one you did with the shoot out of the OTS I have purchased the OceanReef and use the XS brand QDs

I have been using this mask before it came into US. the size chart is a bit off other than that I never have a problem unplugging under the water. it's much easier to use compare to all other FFM on the market. adding the omni swivel will solve the problem of extending the quick disconnect plug

Re quick connect: Rotate you thumb/wrist 1/4 turn clockwise?

I want to try one never use one before, 20 of scuba diving with the traditional mask and thinking to try a full face mask. That one looks awesome. 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤿🤿🤿🤿🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

feel like they could just make a longer adapter to solve that issue or maybe longer but then it 90 degrees down

Nice video. Im a new diver about to start my OW certification. The full face masks certainly have me intrigued. Im trying to do my research to see if I should spend the money on the certification and mask and if so which one. Do they work well for those with full beards?

I have all of my first stage, - Can I just pay the Neptune III mask only? Thank you. Dale

No matter how I adjust the straps and put it on. Still leaks out of the top. My OTS doesn’t leak thou I use less air with this mask.

Where can I get just the DIN first stage. I currently have the yoke model and want to switch out.

I dive the Predator and like the adjustable 2nd stage. I can turn it right down at shallow depths to stop the mask bouncing/juddering on my face. Do you get the same effect with the N3 or is it fixed with the new 2nd stage?

Does that LPI not seem to be a snag hazard coming into the mask?

The new one looks really good, just bought very recently the older model!! Pity. I have a question: I have the Space Extender which I have connected to my Scubapro S620Ti 1st stage is that okay? Now I am planning to buy the 1st stage from Ocean reef after seeing your video but not straight away. Normally you match 1st and second stage but have to say I missed this with Ocean reef. Excellent videos and so straight on and very helpful. I am from the UK but live in Denmark so winter cold water diving now the norm, hence buying the FF. Best to you and family.

anyone know if you can buy just the mask/2nd stage? all i can find is the full package

Is this mask meant for ice diving? Both me and the diving center near me have asked and have gotten the response it is indeed able to be used in cold waters, yet the manual says 10>

Who is making the quick release hoses with the lock? Do you have a link to who is selling them?

Would going FFM ( or this particular mask) help with issues equalizing? It's not impossible for me to do it just takes a bit of time and if I can have something that can aid in that issue I'd happily throw the money at it and the training required for use.

I just got this one, and the documentation says that the first stage is not nitrox ready. Do you have any recommendations on a suitable alternative first stage for Nitrox Diving?

Has any of these failed while being at depth?

I find the Oceanreef G divers mask to make my head very front heavy if I wore it on land. Is the Neptune 3 the same way? I also find G divers to be buoyant pushes my neck back underwater. Is this the same with the Neptune 3?

Can you get glasses for it

I have a real problem with this new mask. When I got the mask, the front black cover makes a squeak noise and it seems extremely loose and poorly made. Idk if they was a manufacture problem or every mask is like this
