That dude that pulled you out in the lifted blue ford is a good man. You lucked out. I met him when I was out on the beach over July 4th, 2018. My wife and kids were lucky to get a spot next to him on the beach. Very humble man and very helpful. You lucked out big time with him being out there. I saw a ton of trucks just strolling on by you.

most people ignore the best trick of all carry a portable air compressor, let your tires down to about 1/2 pressure, (don't go flat, don't break the bead) drive carefully over the soft sand, then air the tires backup before getting on the road low pressure tires spread the weight, and don't churn the sand so much don't speed, especially when stuck, its slow and easy on low pressure tires

I just purchased some Wrangler Duratracs over the weekend and plan on getting atleast some maxtraxx before heading out. I guess I'm just shocked someone would take a fwd sedan out there without considering the consequences. Darwin's theory is real.

Here is a tip when driving on sand, let air out of the tires it will help out a bit, but not in that case driving a car with 3 inch of clearance

Snow/Beach/Sand/Mud,when these things happen, try turning your floor mats upside down & place them under the tires that have the traction depending on if it is a front-wheel drive or rear wheel drive. (note) don't floor it but gently press the pedal & use a low gear.

there's a creek that crosses to ocean on sand sometimes at Pismo . I saw guy in corvette go up to it back up then floor it but he just nose dove and dug into sand in the creek ... A tow truck pulled him out he did'nt do smoky and bandit across water

There is a lot of hate in the comments about these guys being idiots for driving on the beach with a car but who care I have been going to pismo my whole life I either with my truck and sand rail or Jeep. But sometimes In my car if I’m on a trip down to Southern California and I want to go on the beach I’ll drive on in my car. If I get stuck someone will help out that’s what the off road community is all about
