OceanGate Mission Specialist details getting briefly stuck in the Titanic while exploring

This guy is something else. The sub got stuck badly enough that the other passengers as well as the surface controller wanted to get it back to the surface ASAP for safety. Then he prevailed on the pilot to ignore them all and take the submersible to where HE wanted to go, prolonging the time at maximum depth. Plus, this must have damaged the Titanic. It demonstrates the sloppy carelessness of the pilot too, that he would get close enough to the Titanic to get entangled. All of this is horrifying, and he presents it as being perfectly reasonable. I would bet that this guy was the one who insisted that the pilot get closer and closer until they got entangled and possibly damaged the Titanic. I’d like to have the pilot answer that question.

He sounds a little nervous answering the question; like he doesn't really want to; but he's under oath.

That ties in with some damage that has been done to one of the railings on the bow. So much for going down there for scientific research. They cause a lot of damage and ended multiple peoples lives.

These stories are wild…the guy from day one said the last missions would’ve been the only one that got down to the wreckage and that all the others failed before it could go that far

He’s full of bull and avoiding the question. Expecting a thrill and expecting to die are very different things.

They all knew the risk of death even the ones who went on other dives. If something goes wrong there's no rescue

Watch his entire testimony. He said that he told his secretary to “just pay” the $250,000 cost for the ride as an “incidental” expense he didn’t remember.

Is this man aware he could easily have been the one at the bottom of the ocean? He doesn’t seem aware of that.

Hmmm...would like to see how "adventurous" this man might feel, in the event they really were stuck, and could not get free. Betting his lax perspective about "not supposed to be safe" would have changed - drastically. Really arrogant, in my opinion.
