Adam has (had) an acoustic project called Trav and Adam. There is video out there of him clean singing in this project. He can sing and he can sing VERY well. The song is called "What I'm After" if you care to check out his cleans
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that build up was kind of a let down. While I don't DISLIKE the song idk it just didn't hit the way I thought it would. Especially after Mass Produced. I found myself feeling like I was waiting for the I guess the song to explode. 7/10 for me
Same! When o used to love in chicago. I was in line with friends to see 2009 summer slaughter tour and oceano was behind us in line! Lmao they weren't even playing. They just wanted to see the show! Super nice guys!
Right like he didn't listen to the message.... Like Eminem said in his syllable song. Everyone wants to hear a song and not listen to a message or "lyrics"
Mass produced and wounds never healed are on the opposite side of the spectrum, they are gonna drop even heavier stuff in the album. They were just getting more of an atmospheric type sound with this one. Looking forward to the album, they are amazing producers of music in this genre.
Adam can sing. But I dont believe they want to have cleans on oceano songs. I also feel like a breakdown wouldve ruined the moment and pace of what was going on. I think it was written brilliantly. Plus theres going to be more songs coming out. So there will be breakdowns to be had.
I think my issue( which. I question if it’s even an issue at this point) You think oceano, you have an idea of what that sounds like. Then. Your presented with oceano playing a kill switch adjacent song. It’s not that it’s bad. I’m a big fan of them. Just kinda unexpected. Do agree. All things that notions of what “should” be there. Would’ve made it less impactful
I thought the same on my first listen but the more I listen to it the more I don’t won’t the cleans. This is a very different sound for oceano but I’m absolutely loving it
Anyone heard the song Anti Savior by Voluntary Victim?! So good. Came up on RU-vid suggestions but they seem really underground, not many listens, maybe 1 reaction 🫢
Awesme song! Great vocals + melody but the guitar undertones need to be cranked up in the mix. Expected the ending breakdown to be more powerful. Check out Ruins of Perception - Empress ov Blood. You won't be disappointed.
This song reminds me a lot of old In Dying Arms. If you liked this, and felt like you missed a clean chorus you will like them. Check out Core of My Existence by them when you get the chance.
Meh. I got a little bored after awhile. Vocals were kinda the same, needed a little change like you said and was waiting for something heavier to happen 🤔
That song was pretty cool, I did really want him to just go for it during that "fake out" but hey you know what I can look past it. Still intrigued about the upcoming album, especially if this is the sound they are heading towards
yep. had a similar reaction. to me it felt like this song was fighting what it wanted to be. guess you could chaulk that up to pre-concieved notions of what things 'should' sound like. eh. is what it is i suppose
I think that's the issue, and I like that you recognized it. You're basically trained to be like oh there should be singing here or there should be a slow breakdown there.
