We all got our own opinions so I’m not gonna knock you for yours, If it’s the happiest You’ve been with OAA then I’m happy for ya honestly, But Joel is BY FAR the worst of the three imo. From all the videos I’ve seen for the screams He does 90% low screams the whole time, and then absolutely BUTCHERS the cleans. I loved James as the vocalist, and Jake is in my top 5 vocalists in modern metal/metalcore/deathcore. I certainly hope Joel improves and I’ll always love OAA for giving 3 albums in my all time top 30 albums, Hikari being in my top 5, Disparity in the top 15, and Lost Isles in the top 30, And Endless Hollow was a good song, but man oh man comparing it to how great this band has been for the first 3 albums, The future certainly seems bleak imo.
@isaacslingerland451 yeah man I understand that, but I feel like these songs nearly impossible to play live, they are too high on tonality, Jake used falceto all the time, it sounded pretty meh live, so I'd rather have a singscream high notes And energy level new vocalist deliver But I understand your point and partially agree with you
@@alexdarkside115I will say I see what You mean about the Energy from him, and the crowd interaction is nice, I personally would just rather Jakes falsetto and his doing the screams the way their supposed to be, like the highs when the song calls for it and the lows when it calls for it. I think I said in my other comment but I forget lol I saw OAA 4 times, Twice with James and twice with Jake. I thought They couldn’t get any better than when They released and were touring Lost Isles, Both songwriting wise and live show wise, But then They came out with Hikari and I was blown away by how much I loved it and 100% preferred it over Lost Isles, and then I saw them with Jake and I was even more blown away by how much I loved that lineup in the live setting so much more, To the point where if I was ranking the hundreds of shows I’ve been to OAA with James would be probably top 15-fringe top 10, But both shows with Jake are 100% in top 5 and the show They did with The Plot in You and We Came as Romans might be my all time favorite live performance I’ve ever seen. Like We both said, It’s alllll about opinions, and as I also said if This is the happiest you’ve been with OAA, than I’m happy for ya that You have something You enjoy that much. James was just great and BARLEY beatable but Jake was just the absolute peak for me.
