@@theBOSpaladin101 I like James vocals, but I started to listen OAA from Hansha, then Escapist and these songs from Hikari. And this album is such a masterpiece! I think Lost Isles a masterpiece too, but new song Metamorph had nothing new and original in it, just typical metalcore track. For example Blood Brothers or Escapist is really extremely good and in songs like that you can see their talent. And Jake had better cleans and brought this whole Japanese vibe to the band. I'm glad that it's James who replaced Jake, because he's original vocalist and he's extremely good, but it's still sad because I liked Jake and I started listening to the band with his vocals and was blown away by it, especially cover of Shape of my Heart, and with James there would no cover like this, because he doesn't have such great cleans.

@@user-el5kq1je4s same story here dude.I also got into OAA through Hansha and then the whole Hikari album.Lost Isles had some decent tracks but the majority of them were too technical and less vocal intended(which I loved too).But Hikari had both technicality and good vocals.That is why I connect to Jake's vocals more. But its not like OAA ghosted him(like Asking did to Dennis).Jake wanted to pursue his tattooing career fulltime and thus the band agreed to part ways for the best.But Yeah I am glad James is back as the vocalist.His vocals are equally as awesome as Jake's

This band is way too good its actually ridiculous. Drummer is the best in the scene, the guitarists are fucking unreal, the bassist is really good, and the vocalist is amazing. This is the first album in a while where i can listen from beginning to end and enjoy the whole thing. Entrapment is my favorite song off of it, but every song is amazing. God damn

Except with a few exceptions like trivium, all in all not trying to hate on it. I just think its more of ROCK than it is METAL.

This album is heavier than the last one dude. Benzaiten, Sarin, Deadweight, Entrapment, Birth Marked, Escapist are all heavy as fuck. Covert is also heavy. Vertical, Ukiyo, and Hikari are all very unique while remaining heavy, and this song is a great blend. Get outta here

Not easy to pull off harmonic vocals along with screams AND yelling from one vocalist. Need to see them next time they come to town. If they did a show with ERRA I definitely wouldn't miss it and snag VIP for sure to meet them as I've met ERRA. Both bands so misunderstood by so many coming off as brutal sounding or garbage metal. Brutal, real relations to life experiences and beyond from Oceans Ate Alaska like many others, to each their own. Might even steal color scheme from one of their albums cover of an octopus for a tattoo. The new album they're working on is good so far too. For those who don't know "Nova" and "New Dawn" are two new songs out while Oceans finishes a new album I believe. 🤘❤️‍🔥🤘
