Music can provoke strong emotions and make us think of people we wish to forget, but music is a gift. There is a divergence between beautiful and sad. So maybe you’ll get the same love and hope from these two that I have. It would be a shame to have a bitterness arise toward a person from music that once touched you in a positive way. We always need to remember music is music, and music needs no bias. Sharing songs is a form of affection, but it doesn’t determine what those songs meant to us before they were shared. Touch back to your roots. We as humans are emotional, but we have the discipline to control our emotions. Never let your emotions abuse you. It is absolutely okay to feel strongly. Allowing ourselves to feel is far more therapeutic than developing a numbness to things we once loved. Your heart may be veiled with aged pain, but soon enough you’ll feel whole and wonderful again. I hope music helps get you there! It surely helped me. Just a stranger who once had the same issue!
