RU-vid won't allow me to post a link but Mel Gibson is working on a new project about the siege of Malta which was intimately linked to the great naval battle of Lepanto, 7 years later. It is also considered a great Marian victory, against all odds as the Maltese Knights were outnumbered almost 50 to1 by the Ottomans. The siege was lifted and the Muslims defeated on September 8th, feast of Our Blessed Mother's Nativity. The defense of the island against Islam was dedicated to Mary.
