Octachron AUv3 Drum Midi Sequencer - Sequencer for Drums and Synths 

As you can see, you can use Octachron to control not only Drums but also Synths. In this video I show how to control a bass produced by Megalit and also an additional line again using Megalit from Bleass. You are limited but the number of rows in Octachron, at least in this release, but there are enough to create some interesting patterns. For each line you can use the Density and Randomness to add random number of steps for both Drums and Synths or you can use the Trigger dial if you want to test what that row and therefore instrument sounds like within the pattern. Remember you can still use the steps on the main screen to alter the pattern. You can also use the Smart Randomiser and Pattern level to create a new pattern; in this case I suggest that you mute the rows not used to avoid unnecessary sounds to the pattern you are exploring to create. At the beginning of the video, I also show you a shortcut I use if I do not remember the number of notes I want to use; as long you have establish the right routing and the right use of Midi Channels from Octachron as a Midi Processor to the different Audio Sources, you can test connectivity and therefore the right pitch and octave. I like Octachron as it is really easy to use :)

I spoke to the dev and offset modulation is on the list! I didn’t think about assigning each lane to a channel. What a cool way to compose!

I really like the smart pattern randomizer + mutation sections that were recently added in Octachron.. using the trigger mutation dial to trigger notes without actually sequencing any, is quite cool.. randomizing the whole pattern with just one command is quick + easy.. drums + melodies.. Octachron can definitely handle it.. thanks for continuing to explore Octachron Leo..

I like this sequencer and have used it a lot, easy and very functional and the new probability parameters make it less stilted. It would be nice to subdivide a beat by triplets though, which is an issue in many drum sequencers.

Great video. I guess you can have multiple instances of Octachron inside AUM, so maybe one for drums and another for a pentatonic scale or something, using 5 of the 8 slots, with randomisation applied to it.

Thank you for the tips. Great stuff. I copied your your every move. I'm using Pure Acid for drums and Zeeon for my synth. My only problem is, Channel 1 for drums and channel 2 for synth doesn't work for me. Both drums and synth work only on channel 10..? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
