In solo battles it only lasts a couple seconds. Aether noted this in a previous video. If anything he was a hair too early since Seph was able to re-route to him as soon as he landed, he may have continued whiffing the wrong way if he was slightly later.
@@Ultinarok47 i hypothesize that he wouldn't have continued moving away. I believe that enemies need something to target at all times, which is why you don't go vanish while solo. He probably just would have continued circling my landing zone. If I had been a second earlier, I think I could have baited him to my location while targeting his location and gotten away. But I think the most reasonable takeaway is that jump isn't worth using to dodge octaslash. Much safer is mitigating it with barrier.
