Hi, I am thinkning about buying and converting an octavia myself, I love your videos and your design, when you put the back seats down in order to make the bed, do you have to move the driver / passenger seat forward at all? I am 6foot 1 (187cm) and I wouldn't like to sleep diagonally every night so if I could build a bed where the frame comes straight up to the front seats without me moving them for convenience it would work really well for me, do you think that is doable?
Hi, from the inside of the tailgate to the edge of the seats when folded down is around 5ft 7. To the back of the drivers seat where I have it is 6ft, though your seat would probably be a bit further back, so unless you were to sleep on the passenger side you probably would have to move the drivers seat forward a bit, or at least tilt the back of it forwards.
I got mine from winfields but they are also out of stock. Another alternative is peices of foam cut to size that will stack in the boot when not in use. Are you looking at solo camping or 2 people?
