I am from Wisconsin and I was road-tripping in eastern Ohio that day last year! I had just arrived at Cuyahoga National Park from Canton when the EBS tones were going crazy. Luckily there were buildings open at CVNP where I took shelter. Quite the experience for my first time ever in Ohio!
Dang I checked the radar pretty frequently this afternoon and it seemed like the warnings kept going! Glad you and all your Northeast Ohio hooligans are safe :P
I'm in SW Akron and I remember all the sirens as well as seeing all the storm spotters lining up in my neighborhood. Seeing the storm spotters actually kept me calm since I know they try to view the storm from a safe location. Thankfully, we just had a few branches down from all of this.
I was on I-76 by Wadsworth, as my dad and i were on the road we saw the tornado on the ground. Missed my house by less than half a mile. People on Wadsworth and Akron kept reporting damage.
The siren itself spins in a circular motion so its heard around everywhere. If you see the video you can see it yourself how the hesd of it turns in a circle
I'm here in Hubbard! I was horrified. I went into Sharon, Pa 5 miles away and saw the tornado. There was no people out on the road even though it's a busy city!
@@sirensofneohio3979 yes it was. I was in my school's choir and when I was driving home All of the sudden I hear the radio go off. I freaked out, and I was a new driver. Thankfully I made it home safely
It was a confirmed tornado too and it's wired that there is one in Ohio in October lmao, I saw on the news someone recorded a 4004 outside their house lol
It honestly not that uncommon for tornados around this time for us. Historically speaking, October and November seem to have the most tornados. Don’t ask me how or why but that just seems to be the pattern
