Today we read a story about self help skills. This quick video will familiarize your child with our classroom bathroom in hopes that they will be more comfortable with self toileting when they arrive back to school. Parents, it’s necessary to set your child up NOW for their success. Practice having them wipe independently especially. I am welcoming donations of flushable toilet wipes. Sometimes those are more manageable than regular toilet paper at this age. Thanks for your assistance! Some kids get scared of the dark. Notice I will show them where the light switch is. It is also common for children to be afraid of how loud the toilet flushes-I demonstrate this in the video. Please reassure your child it will be OK! I will go over this when they return in person as well, but seeing this in advance may help alleviate any public toileting anxieties. :)
