Jess at Roots & Refuge YT had the same disaster with her soil. They are using sunflowers, mushrooms & other methods to remediate their soil. So sorry that happened to you.
From discussions with other gardeners and small farmers, I believe it is happening to many of us. It is becoming harder to find truly organic sources of compost, manure, and mulch. Very sad for our future.
Planting a cover crop like rye wheat or crimson clover will help draw that out of the soil. I just heard about using cover crops. I’m planning on doing it next fall. You still might be able to in the green house. But it’s to late for me to start outside. Nice video, I admire the variety of what you plant, your a hard worker. Keep up the great work.
Thank you, I very well may do this. I’m the area outside the greenhouse where I did squash mounds with the manure, I will be planting my corn there next year. It is a good rotation and corn is not affected.
