I just finished My Roommate is a Vampire and I loved it. It has some letter writing aspects. It wasn't terribly spicy, I would give it a one or two spice rating. Overall, it was excellent and likely my favorite read of October.

🎃 I just finished The Twisted Ones and really enjoyed it. I’ve still been thinking about it a bit. I liked it better than A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking. But I tend to enjoy scary more than fantasy.

Liv just doubled my TBR 😅🎃. I enjoyed Murder at the Pumpkin Pageant, however, I found a lot of red flags that put me off, such as the MC repeatedly referring to a person of different ethnicity as “exotic,” getting turned on by her boyfriend keeping a gun in her bedroom without her consent, bf saying a 'guy could do better than to be with an older woman' (who’s supposed to be the mc’s best friend) and she’s ok with that, frowning upon others’ customs such as the use of sage.

Hi Liv, Look forward to your thoughts on The Undertaking of Heart and Mercy. The Secret Society of Irregular Witches was a three star for me so got unhauled. I love UK set books but that one had to much swearing for my taste. I'm reading Cackle later in October because it's cozy. Vespertine, Sorcery of Thorns, and Enchantment of Ravens were all three stars and unhauled them. I came to the conclusion that Margart Rogerson's theanes weren't for me. The Winternight Trilogy made me a fantasy reader but horror's typically not for me.

So hoping you get to Hooky! It’s my favorite graphic novel/series along with Cursed Princess Club (also highly recommend!!) The author of the Okay Witch just came out with a new graphic novel that has fairytale vibes! I will be picking it up soon.

Im reading Wolfsong (wherewollves) by TJ Klune, and I have a feeling this will end up a favorite for the year. I read T Kingfisher book, The House With Good Bones. 🤷‍♀️ maybe a 3 🌟 I have Cackle but its still on my shelf unread. I need to read that. I also picked up a cozy, Mischief Nights Are Murder by Libby Klein. Its a B&B story and surprisingly is 438 pages. 🎃 🦇 👻
