Shame on us an a audience that we were unable to get this movie the recognition it deserved. This is literally one of the best bollywood movie and infact one of the sweetest and loveliest movie ever. Really shame on us man.

This is the best bollywood movie I have ever seen. I have watched thousands of movies from all corners of the world. But, no other film has moved me like this one. It's just class apart. If you have not seen it yet then I request you to see it as soon as possible. You will surely fall in love with it. I would also like to thank Shoojit sir for making this gem and a round of applause for Varun Dhawan for a beautiful performance.

What a masterpiece. Brilliant! Just one word ‘Where is Dan?’ And the whole life travels around that word. I have watched this movie at least 10 times and tears come out each time. They never kissed each other nor had a single date yet they loved each other. This is pure love!

This is ONLY music in Indian Cinematic and Musical history that truly captured the monochromatic, in-depth feeling of the Western Classical music.. it is up there with one of unique pieces!! Just wow.. completely unexpected!!

October and lootera were highly, highly underrated love stories.

How did I miss that? It's not a sugary, flowery couple type love story. This is a story about love. That confirms that the love between Dan and Shiuli exists but the thread is very fine and transparent. It's heart touching and heartfelt. There was a chemistry between both to some point. The whole movie speaks of all kinds of love, romantic and platonic. Nevertheless, the movie is a must watch. This theme is my favourite.

This movie deserved Oscar, but it didn't even recognised in India because of pathetic audience who only love masala movies, also then target bollywood for not making good film, Varun is a great actor

The best thing about this movie is kuch masala nahi bas ak insaan ki jindi ko uta ke screen main rakh diya hai. Isi wajah se toda boaring lagega but you will relate every frames. Loved this movie. Pura lag raha tha ki koie sayad Hollywood love movie chal raha ho. No songs but the story and it's feelings who describes the love. The movie is not a love story but describes a love within.🥰🥺

Shantanu Moitra is a bit of a genius. A miracle that happens once in a lifetime. A person who can make music like that can't be oblivious to life's mysteries. Such a person can't not be a seer.

First of all, let me begin by saying that this movie did well in collections by making more than its production budget. Second, I know a lot of us want more of these movies, still, I request everyone that don't be a pessimist and start saying that such movies don't do well in collections. There are enough of us who like this genre and such movies are welcome in Bollywood. I hope and believe pretty firmly that there are enough good directors, actors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, and artists of all kinds who will accept the challenge of burgeoning demand from the Indian audience for this genre. Lastly, and one thing that I loved the most about this movie (actually the second most, the first is that lingering feeling of coming to terms with it was present now and gone the next moment) was its soundtrack. I really enjoyed it as I was watching the movie. Superb timing, indeed! But, a big but! While listening to it, I was already feeling strongly I had listened to it somewhere before. And indeed so! The movie I believe the soundtrack is inspired from is a 1995 Shunji Iwai's movie, "Love Letter". I have come to realize the power of cello music as it suits so well to all those scenes with sadness, loss and sweet - bitter pain. Give a big Like, if you appreciate this comment and are a movie buff just like mine!

This movie is special to me. I went to watch it on 21st April 2018 in PVR Saket as it was my birthday treat and I still can't forget the feeling of watching it in the theatre. I really miss 2018. This movie and that year is special to me. We need more movies like October.
