its so the octopus doesnt bite his hands i believe, its supposed to condition the octopus to know that bright colored objects are mot edible during feeding time
This is like a horror movie with a disney childrens movie theme song playing... I found myself screaming "RELEASE THE KRAKEN" when the arms started appearing from behind the rocks. and yeah those fish look a tid bit stressed out.
Crabs thinking, "Hey, this is far out! At first I thought he was gonna eat me or something. It turns out he just wanted to give me my own place, even has a jaccuzi too. What A guy!"
I have heard that octopuses are super intelligent, but unfortunately their life is short, I would like to know if their life will be extended if they receive care, and without them mating?
injection6930 ask a local pet store to order in just a plain “octopus”. They cost around $35, and they’re either octopus vulgaris or they’re dwarf octopus. Either way they’re still really cool.
You can't even see the whole tank in the video. Nor do you know the species of octopus. And most people keep common octopus in smaller tanks. 120 gallons is sufficient until it ages and gets bigger. Of course, this ceph is already passed. They only live a couple years
@@Tsumami__ Lmao you clearly pulled those facts out of your ass. And 2:38 the whole tank is shown. Are you really this fucking dumb? You didn't even watch the video.
This is definitely a big enough aquarium for an octopus. This species is obviously not a Giant Octopus, so it probably won't get much bigger. 55 gal is a sufficient size aquarium for an octopus. And, this one looks much bigger and has a hiding place, which is good. They like to stay hidden much of the time, and they are semi-nocturnal. Very smart creatures.🐙
First time iv ever seen a 🐙 in a tank before and won’t the crab 🦀 use its pinchers to attack it? Like someone has said too small for a creature tha size
Just to let you know, all things that live in a tank hate to have the tank tapped on or banged on, that's not the way it eats in the normal environment. This thing easily smells this thing just like it does in the ocean.. ;)
anyone else feel bad about seeing crabs get killed? they seem like insecure little guys who just want to be left alone. kind of like edward scissorhands.
Asher that’s exactly the issue, the octopus eat the fish. Octopus will eat almost anything, especially large ones. If not then the fish may very well steal the octopus’ food.
Epic Smiley guy the octopus is happy in the tank and he is getting good food. They don’t move much in the wild. That’s like saying dogs shouldn’t be kept as pets
Hello i have a octopus toy my favorite. Animal is octopus.. but.. i love my toy he, is so good.. u have shark toys. My octopus can beat those, so.. back to watching..
Le echa un cangrejo agonizante, y luego golpea el cristal para que el pulpo se mueva y lo ataque. ¿ cuando vas al zoológico, no serás de los que tiran piedras a los leones para que se muevan?
Greetings! I would like to use clips from this video and some of the other octopus videos you have on your RU-vid channel for an octopus-related project that I plan to post on my RU-vid channel (parts of your videos would be perfect my project!). If you allow me to use the footage, I would credit you in the video description. Please let me know if this would be acceptable. :)
@@virtuallyjas it is, you have to look at the shape of the tank, it's pretty deep, fairly long but also the front to back is quite a bit. I had a 150 that wasn't much bigger then this.
