I am 45 years old and found TNH through a Lane 8 ditty that I randomly came across. Next thing I know i'm a huge TNH fanboy. I have tried to break down what it is about the sound coming out of the label that just triggers a happy switch in my soul. Maybe it's formulaic, maybe it is the sub 20 hz bass lines that accompany almost every track. I don't really care anymore. Virtually every track brings joy to my ears and heart. I have been unable to catch Ocula at a show but I intend to remedy that as soon as possible. (Also TNH events are sublime in their restriction of cameras and cell phones)

I would love to experience Lane 8 in person. I strongly agree with no phone/camera policy. When watching pre-smart phone concerts online, it brings back so much longing and nostalgia for those times. The dumbasses that are recording the whole time are never going to watch the recorded footage. It's idiocracy.

@@miurasvlamborghini I am 45 next month. I found lane 8 in 2020 by chance and have since seen him 6 times and always at his shows. I like festivals but his shows are a different experience. I can't recommend it enough. Even if you have to travel to catch it, it is well worth it. Especially when he brings such great openers like ocula, massane, or sultan and Sheppard. Although sultan + Shepard have gotten so refined that they are doing their own solo shows now.
