Naj Kraemer after my joystick broke, I had to use mouse and keyboard too. And trust me, it's not hard to take off if you try it a few times. I get K/Ds up to 2.0 using mouse. If you want, I can explain how to take off.
This is very cool. Love seeing the older gents trying it out. I wonder if some of them were/are pilots? Do you plan on doing more of these, because it's really fun to see. A good idea (well, if I do say so myself. haha), is if some were/are pilots, to sit down with them and talk and do interviews on what they think. It'd be nice to see/hear their experience.
+huyked Several of them were pilots, going back to WW2. I'll be doing it again this upcoming airshow season, and I also bring it to the assisted living home up the road. Several more old pilots there that enjoy it too. I'll see about getting them to give some feedback next time.
+mdbuehler Sweet! I think the feedback is very interesting. It's like a reaction show, or journalistic viewpoint, which people are interested in seeing. That's my opinion, anyhow. :) Thank you for the reply.
+huyked I am a real pilot and also own a oculus rift and can tell you it is definitely the next best thing to the real thing. Flying and landing in VR feels very much like the real thing.
did you have any problems with the rift on war thunder? like messed up sights or anything. Alot of us dk2 users on war thunder are having a lot of problem with it. forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/238297-issues-with-oculus-rift-ver-1498xxx-please-read/
Evan Alden Yeah, at the moment the gunsights are way off, the marker dots are way off (and move around), and leaning forward also tracks a bit down. Makes multiplayer hard for sure, but co-op missions and just flying around are still quite fun :) Looks amazing, just needs those few things sorted.
