I love that the glukkons can’t even comprehend that it’s actually a slave uprising and they have to come up with the idea that molluk is behind it. And that no one has a solid idea of what’s actually happening. Except for the sliggies on the front lines and the mudokkens getting picked up and brought along for the ride.
Its interesting that a bad end for abe poses costs for all different sides of the equation. Without brew, the mudokon workforce will spiral out of control as their trigger sets in. Glukkons go from being on top of food chain to become prey for other life forms not dependent on the products they yield. The sligs definitely dont benefit from their dilapidated master servant relationship to the Glukks. A lot is riding on Abe, who just drove his quarma headlong into the brewery
@@1000drman Congratulations numbnuts. You killed the little bug, doomed your entire race AND annihilated the planet's entire economy! Holy shit, you fucked up bad. "Okay, I get it! I suck at games! Christ!"
Bad ending in oddysee: get chucked in a meat grinder, maybe some of the slaves you rescue survive. Maybe. Everyone else is enslaved still, but they're alive and maybe there is hope Bad ending in soulstorm: you die, your friends die, and thanks to your actions, everyone in the factory you were trying to liberate have been incinerated. Additionally, the fire you started has spread to every other factory connected to the brewery Everyone there is now likely dead too. On top of that, there's now no more brew, which means any mudokon slaves not in those factories are now also condemned to a painful death from withdrawal symptoms. To summarize: "smooth move, knucklehead".
Munch's Oddysee: Alarm set off by fuzzies cause u didn't save enough, see Abe decapitated on the wall, lastly u see Munch about to be surgically killed and decapitated along with Abe.
You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend lately :)
No joke this game is so fucking beautiful the amount of details on the character models and animations, now I'm not a graphics guy but holy shit they look so good!!! They need to make a Oddworld movie in this style
After watching multiple things involving soulstorm's endings. As bad as Molluk is, he is likely gonna be instrumental in crippling or ending the Magog Cartel, even if it means begrudgingly working with Abe, overtly or otherwise. The Glukkon's life depends on it.
2:48 Molluck the Glukkon: What the heck? No, no, NO! Not the Brewery! (Ka-Boom) Princess Chi: Oh shit. 3:10 Molluck the Glukkon: This is bad! They're gonna frame it on me, AGAIN!
I have say. Despite the gameplay being a bit meh and level designs being repetitive. They really done well with the cutscenes and story. They’ve managed to keep the odd world weirdness/shock of the originals while also really adding other emotions such as sadness and despair So kudos to them for that.
Omg the little pharaoh bug dying slowly is soooo heartbreaking 💔 😢. Best Ending all the way even if I spend hours and days but every single mudokin will be saved!
I think some of the papers are mixed between good and bad endings. The bad ending had the hat wearing slig splatter, but the paper for him was in the good ending despite him not getting thrown out.
@@bloopahVIII Mullock Redemption Arc, where he learns how capitalism works, becoming the richest Gluk with loyal armies of Sliggy infantry and Mud shamans.
I think you mixed up the cutscenes and headlines. In the bad ending, Soulstorm Brewery is destroyed as Abe and the others accidentally spill Brew in front of the roaring fire. Meanwhile, the headlines blame Molluck after finding the remains of the chauffer he chucked out of his airship, as well as cover the effects of the detonating pipelines. On the other hand, the good ending sees the Sligs turning on the Brewmaster and the two other Glukkons, Abe and company planning to journey to the Glukkon capital, and Molluck and his coup spiriting away to the Yaymans. Headlines cover the financial downward spiral that follows Abe's actions as more Mudokons escape servitude. Or disappear, according to Glukkon news outlets.
I have a suspicion that perhaps in the past, Abe's species would mind control the others for their amusement, pleasure, and profit. Somehow, they saw the error of their ways and to repay their debt, willingly allowed themselves to enslaved as a way to find humility. Either something went wrong, or their debt is finally repaid.
I suppose a slave caste is the socialist ideal of the Worker. Makes sense why you get so angry when workers advocate for their own long-term prospects rather than taking arms against their bosses.
@@KopperNeoman I think you must be confused about what my views are. I support labor unions and the success of labor in achieving concessions from the bosses. I don’t see this as a road to socialism in of itself but is objectively good for two reasons: One the improvement of living and working conditions provide greater time and power to the working class to make itself into a fighting class. Two the success of say winning something like a general strike or labor battle no matter how small a concession builds the morale of the workers allowing for further victories. Also not that it matters too much but indentured servitude and indebted laborers while not chattel slaves are still exploited and enslaved to capitalism.
Tbh, the incapable standards of a civilization that has thrived off the fear of others, though not good, should at the very least be able to be endured by the creatures of this planet, atleast when your species has been battling this for who knows how long. Obviously the large dangerous factories and death arent good to these creatures, but that little cockroach in the glass shouldnt exist and most likely was engineered to die at some point making him useless in the animal kingdom of oddworld. Imagine having a single impure thought that causes millions of a creature to die just because of bad thought energy. Its bad writing and thats why i think the asian strong monk approach is better than the oddworld imbalanced weaklings
