JAMES SCOTT NICHOLSON,ONTARIO, CANADA 🇨🇦 AWESOME 👏, 🎉JAMMING WITH YOU, NO NOTHING NEEDS TO BE CHANGED, IT IS YOUR COVER. EXCELLENT JOB . VOCALS ESPECIALLY. ♥️♥️✌️☝️👑♌️2✋🦁🎸🎤✍️📝🎶🙏🌎☮️🙏🇨🇦
Takes a lot of confidence to cover this song, given the stature of the iconic Bobbie Gentry. Not many could. But, your rendition is really great. Thank you.
First video of yours I've seen and I'd like to say that I don't know if I've ever seen a better job of balancing staying true to the original and putting your own touch it. Well done.
oh yeah bobbie gentry wondering when you might do this i remember the movie didnt expect to see that coming when listening to this it leaves the listener wondering and then watching the movie who would of thought nice job on this thanx great classic
Y'ALL!!!!!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME! What a great song and I love your grove! Can you tell me if the drum box is homemade? to know what the dimensions are and what wood you used. love to hear more!
Great choice, Sugar Lime Blue.....your talents really fit this song, particularly the vocals. Well done. One suggestion...perhaps put in a little instrumental break right before the last verse....the one that begins, "A year has come and gone since we heard the news...." Peace.
wow, a cover that grabs what this story is...not Mrs. Gentry but awesome. What's missing is the personalization...for example... everyone's favorite...the frog... is completely absorbed. not thst big because this is one of the closer renditions... not even go to what the percussion "box" is doing
What if, the late Amy Winehouse cut this classic*? Let that "sink in", and marinate for a minute 😵. I bet 5 racks Amy's rendition would have hurt Bobbies' feelings. But that's just my humble opinion.
My daughter is "Josefine", she is "Joe", but "Billie", is "Wilhelmine"? (btw, my daughter never had a "lick of sense" - i love her! And i'm a grandpa now!)
