I can’t thank you enough [and sadly the “can’t” part seems “real” since you appear to have disappeared from the RU-vid world] for your fantastic contribution and fine content. I return to your videos time and again...being a visual learner you help me retain the information on tarot history like no one else. I do hope you are well.....and that some day you read this and the comments of others...and are able to absorb my / our appreciation.

Love this historical video of Oswald Wirth. I see 1976 decks, one is a blue box the other is a red box. Both boxes seem identical as far as I can see. Do you know what the difference is between the blue box and the red box and why? Thank you 🌸

Sacred Seed Does Oswald Wirth's book "Tarot of the Magicians..." include the 1889 Wirth Deck by Weiser Books (2013). From what I understand it's a paperback book, but where do the cards come in? So when they say it includes the cards, you have to cut them from the book? Whats the material like? Fan of your vids by the way.

Really interesting video! I love how you put simple words on great knowledge. Funny that I bought this book not so long ago (in french of course, and was happy to finally be able to read a great tarot book in french because they are not so many ahah) for 2euro! Unfortunately the 22arcanas already cut and placed in thin carton pocket stuck on the back cover were missing. I go throught mine to compare with the edition you have and except for the layout wich is a lot much better on your version (look so clear and well presented especialy for the various tables) and the Mary K. Greer forewords, it's the exact same book. I even have the same numbering error with the "12" on the greek planisphere ahah! Hey one day I could help you with pronounciation of french esoteric names and terms ahah! Stan and Ozzy ahah you made me laugh! Take care little seed ;)

Is this in fact a translation of the book "Le tarot des imagiers du moyen age" mentioned in "A Wicked Pack of Cards" (p. 241ff.)?

Thanks for your video. The Golden Dawn was actually established in 1887. The OKRC in 1888 and Wirth was not one of the original member. We can find his name in 1891 as a member of the suprem concil, but he didnt made the order with Guaita. We can definitly say that the tarot was draw by Wirth on the instructions of Stanislas de Guaita. Unfortunatly what's Wirth say in his books are not 100% trustable regards to his history with Guaita. Regards to Stanislas de Guaita archives and letters Wirth was the illustrator of the tarot, and also of the Stanislas de Guaita pictures that you can find on Guaita's books. But the tarot deck was draw by Wirth on Guaita's instructions. As it's said on the box of the 1889 tarot deck. Tarot drawn for initiate on the indications of Stanisals de Guaita by Oswald Wirth.
