I think what I love most about oden's eye is the whimsy, I mean CHRISTMAS HAM?? It's beaitiful, it's ham-colored, it's festive, it feels very Swedish (very Midwestern USA as well), and I laughed out loud.

The Christmas Ham, it's a Swedish thing. Christmas Ham is a very specific tradition for Christmastime (Angeschka also talks about this some).😉

I'd love to see a video with the two original palettes. You always do such beautiful, inspiring looks, so it'd be great to reference them! I already have the Christmas Eve palette, and I'm planning on finally picking up Merry Christmas with the relaunch. Still unsure about the two new ones... They're very pretty, but I agree with you that the release is overwhelming. They could have done like, sparkly candy cane lip glosses and/or sugar cookie highlighters. I would have lived for a "Christmas ham" blush, LOL.

Angeschka explained why last year's palettes are being relaunched now, they were trying to do a good thing. When they released it last year in very limited quantities, they didn't know it was going to be as popular as it was and people wanted it restocked. Well, of course by the time the palettes could've been produced and restocked, it could be January or months later, so they decided that it made more sense to hold off and restock it for next year's Christmas which of course is now, 2023. So I think it was a good move for them to do that. The 2022 Christmas palettes have been my most used and loved palettes I've ever owned, so much so that I even went on Mercari and bought a backup for each (I won't even mention what I paid LOL🤦🏼‍♀️). I have a large collection and I have never bought back up items, so that's how much I love them! Anyway, I hope everyone that wanted those palettes and missed out last year are able to get them this year as I know they will love them! All my best!❤

All 4 looks turned out gorgeous. But look #1 with the 'Hey Reindeer' palette gave 1960's retro vibes, with some 21st Century sparkle on top. And I absolutely love that look. The shade Frankincense in the 'Snow Dream' palette reminds me of Lethal Cosmetic's Bismuth shade. Yes please, I would really enjoy a video with last year's Christmas and Christmas Eve palettes :)

Im excited for the releases and re-releases. I like the looks you created 😊🖤. I appreciate the videos coming in with these. There are next to no deeper skin content creators showcasing these which makes it hard for me to decide if these are for me. So far, I have seen content from Karen harris and thefancyface. I do agree Oden’s eye needs to do better with their swatches. I am undecided on the new releases.

Thank you for giving your sincerely opinion❤️ I believe that only a few people say the truth about odens eye. The majority of content creators didn’t mention the issue with hard pan and they aren’t picky in their reviews as commonly as they are with other brands, I’m so disappointed😢 My sincerely admiration for saying what you think❤️

wow, the red matte shade in the last look is probably the best red I've ever seen, but overall non of the new palettes is my perfect colourstory, I think i will be deciding to pick up just the Eve or both from the last year

That's four palettes very shortly after two that they released for Halloween. The overwhelming feeling is real. I find it a little-bit of a weird/risky move to release two ''lackluster'' palettes next to the OGs of last year and right after the very beautiful launch they did for Halloween... when I saw the Halloween palettes, my first thought was: ''oh that's it, that the Oden's Eyes eoy launch.'' And they don't look like they have enough variety in depths to play nice on darker complexions...

Great honest review of this brands palette and I'm glad to hear again it raised that their swatches need more diversity as it's been an issue since the brand has been around. I don't buy from odens eye for this and some other reasons including the fact that the plastic wrapping on all of their products is so wasteful. I haven't always had the same quality in their eyeshadows that other people have experienced as well.

Oh you've really put me off by saying the pastels weren't good :/ I love pastels and would have got the snow one but now probably not I only buy eyeshadow now really so I'd rather the collection was just palettes and I don't feel overwhelmed either. Maybe 15 I would but not four 🤣

Hmm.. I am not really feeling either palette, but that multichrome and the grey-blue and lilac-pink look nice. Thank you for bringing up lack of diversity in swatches. I hope I don't offend anybody by saying this, but their holiday palette packaging feels a little bit... *too* 'xmassy' in a way feels a little bit alienating and awkward if you do not celebrate it.

I'd like to understand the logic of why a Christmas palette would be too Christmas?... There's multiple different holidays and seasons make up is released for. Not everyone celebrates Valentine's Day or St Patricks or Halloween or Lunar New Year either. Do you find that alienating too?

@exomake_mehorololo I am truly happy for everyone who has been waiting for xmas palettes like these. I have nothing against xmas - I live in a Catholic country that goes 'all out' for it. There are just some religions and cultures (like mine) where we are not really supposed to own things that are very clearly intended for another religion. It varies a lot, and things like snowmen and gingerbread are usually fine, but this palette is more clearly specifically xmas.
