Great video...appallingly small screen despite multi million pound refurbishment ( 50ft) Should have been 60ft which before twinning their main auditorium conversion the adjacent Empire had 60 ft since opening in the fifties! ..missing an ideal opportunity Odeon...shame on AMC owners :(
The way the building looks from out side ? Nothing is more important than the movie experience it self. Otherwise put chairs outside so we can stare at the building
I don’t think they did reduce the screen size. I believe the current screen is about 43ft on scope which is larger than some IMAX screens. The problem isn’t that the screen is small it’s the auditorium is so big. Also I don’t think the screen shown in this video is the actual cinema screen as it looks like a temporary screen placed in front of some black curtains and looks smaller than the actual screen.
Oh..and the excessive prices due to the fact that if any Company pays for refurbishment it needs to be recovered as fast as possible ( which being in business I understand) however the ticket prices are only for the elite well,-off tourists or residents who have boat loads of money..a shame as it narrows the audience spread. Go to Bangkok Thailand and see their cinemas..they are more state of the art and prices are much more reasonable..£4 to £15 tickets in a 1200 seat Dolby atmos auditorium with a 70...yes 70ft screen... plus 10 more screens of high standard laser.. not the poxy 50ft at the Odeon ...inside the Paragon shopping mall complex..have a look on RU-vid..and the films are in English with Thai subtitles..so no problem there ! The UK does take libertys with its residents!
