Absolutely one of the best and most informal explanations on gun parts and review. I'm new to adjustable gas blocks and don't know much about them. But after watching this it helps me understand the need for one. I'm definitely going to get one for my 300 Blackout pistol! Thumbs up 👍

How has this block held up? Had an issue w a black rain I believe. The screw that cuts off the gas melted down on me.

Excellent review! Perfectly described and I couldn’t agree more. I have the standard OW adjustable gas block with the two bottom set screws. Unfortunately when I got to the range I realized I did not have the Allen wrench that it came with and I also didn’t have any spares with me at the time so every round was firing under gassed every round. A little lube to the BCG and buffer helped 1% but throughout the day I was only able to get a single round off before a cycling issue. ONE moment I was able to get off four shots but that was it. Every attempt was one, and if I was lucky, two shots. Making tuning adjustments to 300bo is absolutely essential.

pulled the same thing today, had the block completely closed and gun would fire once and that was it

Maybe it wasn't designed for the high heat and impulse that pistols can generate

Can you tell me the space between the two set screws, I've ordered the .750 low-pro adjustable and now looking into a dimppling jig. Thank you, Tim (MN.).

he's got a clamp on style.. no set screws. But I can tell you that if you get the SLR dimpling jig, it'll have your dimensions on it for the low profile block.

I thought this was adjusting a Odin gas block, ? or are you just talking about the block?

I have a question, I am sure you are knowledgeable with. I purchased this Odin Works adjustable gas block for a .300 blackout ACC ,barrel length 8.5inches. I am mostly shooting suppress subsonic ammunition. What approach should I take in fine tuning my AR-15 should I screw the adjuster all the way in an back out 7 clicks?

Great info. If i change my upper to different lower with different buffer tube ie. from carbine buffertube to rifle buffer tube lower do i need to tune my odin adjustable gas block?

Wish this gas block was more simple like the one from Aero Precision. This one has two screws and the allen wrench is too short to fit under a 15” handguard

The aero adjustable gas block is the best GB I've found, sadly the .750in is never in stock anywhere. I feel the clamping design of the Odin is better, also Odin uses a inconcel gas block off screw I'm not sure if aero does. My aero GB hasn't had to much abuse yet within the next 500 rounds I'm going to pop it off an rockset it on, I have carbon blowing all over my hand, I believe the clamping style would have more clamping force on the area around the gas port. Honestly I think a two piece block is the best for clamping force an sealing 100% their just big an bulky.

What torque did you use on the clamp screws?
@tacticalpog3611
@tacticalpog3611 6 лет назад
Baghdaddy2003 I applied lock tight and tightened it till I couldn’t rotate the block by hand and let the lock tight cure.

did you try using some heat?

yeah you shouldve used some heat
@noretreat151

Baghdaddy2003 .... problem is the HEAT at the gas block will destroy the lock-tight this is why Colt uses a tapper pin, as the heat will expand pin for a tighter connection....

80$ gas block vs. 20$buffer/spring...

Robert Morris then maybe this isn’t for you. But then again I never saw the point in having multiple buffers for multiple kinds of rounds 😅
