I already know that this is going to be good, some recommendations for them, Second & Sebring, O.G. Loko, YDG, Public Service Announcement, just to name a few.
The frontman Austin Carlile, who’s doing the screams, has a syndrome that brings a lot of pain to his body. He left the band recently because the pain was becoming unbearable and his doctors said he would have to stop if he wanted to be okay.
I had the chance to meet Austin when I was working the Linkin Park show they opened for. He is an amazingly nice and humble dude. I wish nothing but the best for him
@Erik Rafter ha did you not notice it was only one guy doing both screams and singing when you seen them live? The bassist clean singer from this video is now the full frontman, their latest is the second album that has been without Austin
it's very sad but i'm super glad that he did what was the best for him and i'm super happy aaron pauly and the rest of the band is still going strong and keeping the band alive
Ooooh, one of my fav songs by these guys. Also check out “Broken Generation”, “Public Service Announcement” and “Second and Sebring”, I am sure you’ll love these.
I'm so glad someone reacted to this song. If this doesn't make peoples workout playlists, they need to check their pulse. Give Instincts, You Make Me Sick, Pain, Forver YDG'n, Taste of Regret a listen. All of them are bangers! 🤘🤘
this was my First Of Mice & Men song and I have a lot of Nostalgia for it I didn't know what kind of Band they were and I was dropped on my face when the Badassery Kicked in. I was in between the end of Middle School and the Start of High School Fun Times better times. I Miss Austin Carlile the Main Vocalist in the Video. Aaron Pauley is the main Vocalist now also plays Bass. Alan Ashby and Phil Manansala are their Guitarists. Valentino Arteaga is their Drummer. Aaron is the Backing Vocalist singing in the Chorus. Phil has the Long hair.
You should definitely do Second & Sebring by them. It was the song that really made them big. It's about (the screamer) Austin's mom who died of a horrible disease when he was 17. Do it Gibby. DO IT GIBBY!
Yaaaasssss finally!! Of Mice and Men quickly became one of my fav bands and Austin is my favorite screamer! Aaron Pauley is the clean singer. Imo not as good as Shayley Bourget, who was the original clean singer from earlier days but really solid! The entirety of Restoring Force album is awesome, cover to cover! And if you wanna check out Shayley's work with them I recommend: The Ballad of Tommy Clayton & The Rawdog Millionaire (I know lol)
Other songs from OM&M you should check out are Second & Sebring, Never Giving Up, Would You Still Be There, Another You, My Understandings, & The Flood.
If you can, please listen to “My Understandings” its from their album The Flood from 2011. Its a really short song, but the way it hits you, it still gives me chills to this day. Much Love, from Puerto Rico 💌
Austin Carlisle is probably my favorite metal vocalist besides Cory Taylor. It's too bad he can't perform anymore. OMAM has some banger songs. Can't wait for you to hear more!
If you've only done 2 Om&m reacts, you DEFINITELY need to go back and hear their original clean vocalist, Shayley Bourget. Aaron is wonderful and all his stuff from Jamie's Elsewhere is insane, but Shayley and Austin together are amazing.
If you watch back through the music video, towards the end he is helped up by those two guys and he sees through their bones the same thing he saw in Everyone else but realizes that doesn’t mean they are a bad person so he goes back to find the girl after learning that everyone has their imperfections, even himself
Need to do some of the founding fathers of metal core.... POISON THE WELL, THE BLED, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES, AUTUMNS OFFERING, HASTE THE DAY, EVERGREEN TERRACE, DEAD TO FALL etc.
Look up the band "Bury Tomorrow" my sister and I bonded and beat our depression and hard times to this band, we went from hating eatchother to being the closest siblings in our entire family!! This band is absolutely amazing
OK, apparently my head has been in the sand. First time I have heard Of Mice & Men, may have to listen a few times to get used to their style but liking them so far. Thanks D-Gibby!
It’s a stretch here. But you gotta react to some Novelists FR. They have some of the best lyrical songs. “Head Rush” is the most recent song they released. And I feel you would really enjoy it
If you like of mice and men check out Aaron Pauleys original band Jaimes Elsewhere. Some of his best music is with that bad, love him regardless who he plays with though.
