I know right?! I've always loved these guys, I got into them around when Shay left and I love Aaron, and he's an amazing frontman, just as amazing as Austin was. Austin wanted nothing more than to sing and tour but he can't anymore because of his disability, and he entrusted Aaron as the new frontman. Aaron has really stepped up since he first joined the band, and I've enjoyed all of their styles new and old 💕

I almost feel like Aaron has tried to become the new face of OM&M,and kinda made the band implement generic-ish songs, everything has been so lack luster to me, I mean some songs have an alright use of instrumentals, but every song has a mini breakdown, and he's trying to growl and scream like Austin did (which I get coz austin obviously cant anymore), but idk man. Just my opinion though, but ive lost it almost for OM&M, course I have started listening to bands like Veil of Maya, Periphery, and Architects a bit

I get where you're coming from though we are never going to get the glory days when Shayley was around but I think this sounds a lot better than their recent works with Austin. I'm also kind of biased towards Aaron, I was a huge fan of Jamie's Elsewhere with him and was sad when I heard he left for these guys. I feel like Austin was just taking them down a nu-metal road I wasn't really feeling. I respect your opinion though and get where you're coming from.

Same, it just is not OM&M anymore, without the old members or at least Austin, it just is not the band we love. I want to love the band and enjoy the music but it just is not the band I loved in the past, the band that helped so many when no one else was around...

Austin was holding them back by canceling tours and wanted them to be a Christian band. Not to say he wasn't good himself, but they're better off.

They are still great. I love the songs they came out with. I love them this way just as much as when Austin was with them.

Their scene that they are breaking out of is full of these kind of changes. Aaron is doing awesome but his lyrics have been generic. He's trying to give fans what they want lol

same man, I liked the last album, the way it took nu metal and 2000s alternative metal vibes and injected them back into metalcore was pretty cool, this song is a little lackluster, very much has that "engineered specifically to be a radio single" sound that goes out of it's way to pander to the mainstream audiences like a pop song. I actually really dig the groove of the main riff on the verses, that's a catchy fucking riff, but the vocals aren't anything special even on the verses and the chorus is boring as hell, even for a fluffy pop-metalcore chorus. it's not god awful though, and if the teaser radio singles don't make me want to stab a screwdriver through my ears then that's usually a good sign that the rest of the album will be decent at least. The singles are usually my least favorite song on any given album because they're watered down, so if the watered down songs don't suck then the heavier tracks probably won't either.
